Q. Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested or you switched?
A: I have pursued my PGeMBA in HR & Insurance. I found the humane aspect very interesting and decided to go ahead with a career in Human Resources.
Q. Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
A: I started my career as an HR Operations initially, then subsequently ventured into the role of Generalist. However, the phase where I am in my career is the most lucrative one and has been a learning curve for me. Right now I am in a consulting role as a Business Partner -HR.
Q. Is the industry work different from what you learnt at MET Institute?
A: Yes, although you implement and explore what you learn. The learning experience acts as a support to your professional journey.
Q. How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
A: It has immensely developed me to be agile and work in different environments with a focus on excellence and collaboration.
Q. What was your initial thought process when you joined MET Institute?
A: Initially it was just to score good marks and develop my thinking. I wished to gain insights into various aspects of HR and learn through the knowledge imparted by the esteemed faculties at the institution.
Q. You must have spent a memorable time at MET. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
A: Yes, it was indeed an experiential learning experience. One of my fondest memories is that of outbound at Nashik where we bonded well and started calling each other 'Partner'. The bond has grown stronger today!
Q. Briefly take us through your life at MET, the activities you used to do and your routine life.
A: Campus life is always fun. Studying and extracurricular balance is the right way to manage your study life. I kept myself busy with athletic sports and college fests.
Q. Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?
A: I have always had an inclination towards keeping myself engaged. I picked up small projects, been a part of market research, etc. This gave me outside exposure and helped me develop my confidence.
Q. How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?
A: Thankfully, the industry/ business that I am in requires me to constantly learn, push myself and be on top of the game. I am updated with the latest happenings by professional networking, reading, researching, attending forums and talking to seniors/ industry experts and peers.
Q. You are a proud alumnus of MET. What is the best part of MET Institute from a student's perspective?
A: The best part was the teacher-student interaction. The industrial visits and of course not to forget late-night presentation preps.
Q. What is your suggestion/ guidance for the PGP EMBA aspirants?
A: Just Read and Network! Do not get complacent and always have the fire in your belly to learn and contribute more professionally and personally.
