Bennett University (Times of India Group) organised the 1st national seminar on “Green Biotechnology and its Impact on Indian Economy” at its campus in Greater Noida on Thursday, February 14, 2019. The intent of the event was to provide a platform to various participants of the industry including producers, policymakers, academic research institutions, commercial biomass growers, traders, regulators, etc. to brainstorm on maximizing outcomes in bio-economy and bio-entrepreneurship through bio-based products and technologies. The event had eminent thought leaders including Acharya Balkrishna, CEO, Patanjali Ayurved; Mr. Kishore Desai, OSD, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) & NITI Aayog; Mr. Narendra Bhooshan, (IAS), CEO, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to express their views on the future and direction of the Biotech industry from strategy, planning, evangelisation and industrial application perspective. In addition, plenary speakers from prominent biotechnology organisations, including Emami Ltd., Panacea, Dabur India Ltd., Biocon Academy, Mrida, Evolva Biotech, etc. addressed to bring out gaps and opportunities in R&D and biotech education. Green Biotechnology has come into focus dues to rapid degradation of the environment caused by pollution intensive industrial processes, products and technologies. On the other hand, bio-based products made entirely or partially from biological biomass present a sustainable alternative to products solely produced by conventional and non-renewable resources and thus present the potential for a long-term shift away from fossil-based towards a bio-based economy.Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has funded a multi-institutional network research programme to produce genetically authentic herbal biomass of high-value medicinal herbs and develop engineered production platforms for industrially important phytochemicals. The seminar was a part of the scientific collaboration between Bennett University; G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Kullu, H.P.; and the Zandu Foundation for Health Care to develop technologies for mass production of quality herbal biomass as per the needs of industry as well as creating entrepreneurial avenues among rural communities. The seminar aimed to ignite enthusiasm and bring together different stakeholders from biotechnology industry to deliberate on maximizing entrepreneurial avenues among rural communities, right from the production of biomass to processing bio-based products and marketing. The national seminar was structured in two sessions with expert panel discussions on; i) Biomass Production, Bio-based Products & Rural Entrepreneurship; ii) Biotech Professionals in the 21st Century.

This mainly comes down to your interest.
Comparing the colleges, both colleges are decent in their own aspects.
NIT Meghalaya is relatively newer, however being an NIT, you will be receiving good academics and placements there.
Bennett Uni. is also not behind in terms of infrastructure, decent academics, etc.
So, basically it comes down to your interest, whether you want to pursue CSE or you have interest in ECE subjects.
You could google some reviews about both colleges to get a better idea about it.
Both GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Bennet University are good and well-reputed colleges for pursuing your career in B. tech. The faculty at both the college is pretty good and you won't complain about it. The main thing about comparing 2 colleges are placements and quite frankly, the placement score of Bennet University is a lot better as compared to GLBIT. Companies like Intel, Tata, Foodpanda, H&M, Hindustan Unilever Limited, etc. visit the campus regularly.
All The Best.
AS a university, obviously, GL Bajaj is a college, whereas Bennett is a complete university ,
but I think you are asking for BTech,
Bennett offers you 100% placement.
but it all depends on you, whether you live near Bennett university .or near gl BAJAJ
I hope my answer helped
Both the colleges are good in their own way.
You should according to your need and expectations from the college.
Here i am making the comparison between the two colleges.
BENNETT UNIVERSITY :
There is no good placement record in the college as it had started two years back, but placements are expected to be great in the next few years(2020_2022). There is a placement career management staff to take care of everything regarding placements. I hope placements will be very good in future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Their maintenance is also good.
The University is not affordable, its very expensive .The fee structure is on the expensive side at Thapar University.
The placement at the campus is good.
The hostels are good. The University has 12 hostels.
The faculty team available is generally doctorate-qualified and is well-versed with the subject they teach. They usually give knowledge about the latest technology which we are working with and some extra knowledge too.
Hope you will now be able to choose best for you.
bennett university is a really great college. The average package is around 7.5 lakhs per annum. The highest package is around 9.5 lakhs per annum. The college also provides internship opportunities to the students. Companies like kotak MAHINDRA Bank, yes bank, axis bank, etc visit the campus for recruitment.
