Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Shreya: My name is Shreya and I am from Delhi. I am pursuing PGDM-1 st year from Delhi school of Business – VIPS TC.
Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Shreya: I am pursuing PGDM – 1 st year.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Shreya: The faculty has always been helpful, supportive. They also have been trying to inculcate in us the habit of being punctual and how one needs to respect time, yes this is not like a regular master’s college, the approach of the college is very professional and the faculty actually takes care of all the students, makes sure that everybody is on time and takes the attendance seriously, for me, it was surprising because no other college pays that kind of attention to the students, for them once the admission is done, the students can decide whether they want to attend the classes or not.
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Shreya: The college offers various activities in the college, like we do have academic conclaves where the industry experts come and interact with the students to given them insights as to how the industry is and what is the current trend, we then also have the inhouse clubs like – Dynamics (finance Club), Marketing Club, Dramatics Club called Aflatoon. I am part of the dramatics club.
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up until you go to sleep?
Shreya: I live nearby to the college and my class starts at 9.30 AM, my day typically involves me walking down to college and I reach my class by 9.15 AM where I then spend some time with my fellow classmates, the faculty reaches by 9.30 AM and the teaches till 11.00 AM, I have my short break for about 15 minutes and my second class starts, after the second class, I have my lunch break which is about 45 minutes long, post lunch I have my last class of the day which is till 3pm. Once my classes are over, I spend some time in the library, meet my friends, discuss notes, roam around in college for some time and leave for home. I usually try and revise what has been taught in the class, since the teaching style is very different here, the faculty doesn’t teach from the books but indulge in class participation which is interactive in nature.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Shreya: The student faculty ratio is 13:1, the relationship between the student and the faculty is very cordial, the faculty is supportive, understanding and this approach of the faculty helps the students to discuss the problems that they have not just in academics but otherwise as well. The faculty believes in the holistic development of students and this reflects in their interaction with the students.
Careers360: What all facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Shreya: The college does not have hostel facility but has tie up with the hostels for both boys and girls within the range of 1 km from the campus. The college is very clean and tidy.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Shreya: We have a medical room in the college which has the basic amenities and is accessible during the day. We have an attendant in the medical room all the time.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
Shreya: This is what we are taught in college, how to maintain a balance between things and time management. I have become more disciplined since the time I have joined this program and now I am able to complete all my work and am still left with time.
Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?
Shreya: Other activities or extracurricular activities are very important and are required for the overall development of a being as it lets the person to take a break from studies and also encourages them to participate in activities – like sports, dramatics, music etc. These activities are equally important.

Shreya: Yes, we have a lot of hangout spots near the college, we have the NSP Complex which is about 15 minutes’ drive from the college that has eateries, shopping complex, movie theatre.
