Now we will have a look at the comparative analysis of the past years in terms of difficulty level, number of questions and topics. Refer to the following table.
Number of Questions
Moderate to Tough
Now let us have a look at the section wise analysis of IPMAT 2017.
The difficulty level of this section was of a tough level of difficulty. Out of 60 questions, as many as 10 were of TITA (Type in the answer) nature. Data Interpretation dominated this section with 10 questions, closely followed by Probability / P&C and Geometry. The other topics included Mensuration, Logarithms, Numbers, etc.
The difficulty level of Verbal Ability section was easy. The maximum number of questions were from topics like Reading Comprehension, followed by Use of correct phrases in sentences, use of correct words in sentences and fill in the blanks.
Gautam Puri, Vice Chairman of Career Launcher mentions that the questions of Quantitative Ability could be time-consuming inspite of being on basic topics. Revise the Arithmetic and Algebra formulae. Puri suggests, “Students should keep in the mind the slight increase in the difficulty level of this exam, vis-Ã -vis other exams while preparing for the same.”
Revise your strengths from the IPMAT syllabus and do not start any new area.
Selection of Questions - Select the questions carefully. Since there is negative marking scheme, accuracy factor has to be taken care of in order to clear the IPMAT cut off marks.
Time Management – There is no section wise time limit of the exam, hence you have to be careful about the time management factor. Divide the time wisely between the two sections.
Revise – After completing the paper, revise all the questions carefully, including your rough work done on the scratch sheet provided at the test centre.
On the exam day, ensure that you reach the exam centre within the stipulated time and carry the requisite documents like IPMAT 2018 Admit Card and ID proof.

As known that for admission into IIM's IPM one has to go through A.T and a personal interview.
The Aptitude test consists of 2 parts. One that of quantitative aptitude and other being the verbal ability. For quantitative aptitute one can refer to the book Qbjective Arithmetic of R.S. Aggarwal, though this book is meant for the entrances of railway and other similar things but since the syllabus is quite the same so this book is helpful as well. Apart from this one has to completely solve NCERT Maths book for class XI and XII. As chapters like P&C, Binomial Theorem, Complex Number, Functions and Calculus are also included for the test.
For the verbal ability thing any good English book like that of Wren n Martin, Nesfield, R.S Aggarwal's verbal ability is good.
The Pearson guide is a good book as well which combines the Objective Arithmetic and Verbal ability in one but I think that one has to completely solve class XI and XII NCERT of Maths as well.
For the interview thing one has to be aware of all the General Knowledge thing. Reading newspaper , magazines is always helpful. One has to look upon his body language as well. Co curricular activities are always helpful.
let me clear your doubt.
