IIM Rohtak Final Placement Report 2018 - IIM Rohtak has completed the final placement for the PGPM batch of 2018 with an average salary of Rs. 11.7 lakh per annum (LPA). Maximum offers were made from Sales & Marketing domain and BFSI sector. Finance was the highest paying domain. More than 90 companies participated in the placement process and there was 75 percent increase in a number of new companies amounting to 40+ new recruiters and three international recruiters. According to IIM Rohtak, the numbers of Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) and Pre Placement Interviews (PPIs) have also increased.

Being the highest recruiting domain with 29 per cent offers, the major hiring was done by Yes Bank, Dabur, Amazon, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, JK Group, IndiaMart, Cushman & Wakefield. First-time recruiters in this domain were Amul, Aditya Birla Group, Cargill Foods, Mafatlal, Dell, and ACG WorldWide. Tolaram Group of Dubai was one of the international recruiters making Sales & Marketing offers.
According to IIM Rohtak, Finance emerged as the highest paying domain and a preferred choice with 26 percent of the batch opting for it. Prominent banks such as ICICI, RBL, Yes Bank, HDFC, SBI, Standard Chartered, IDFC, Federal Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank recruited for multiple roles. Non-banking financial entities such as Arcesium, Indus Valley Partners, Futures First, Thomson Reuters, DE Shaw, TresVista, Future Generali recruited for niche profiles. In investment banking, Motilal Oswal hired students for its MT Spark Program.
Strategy & Consulting
IIM Rohtak mentions, “Strategy & Consulting was the most sought-after domain in the campus with more than 100 students applying for coveted roles offered by Accenture, Cargill Foods, GMR Group and Vyakta.” Seven percent of the offers emerged from this domain. The roles offered were MTs, Senior Manager – Strategy, Strategic Consulting, and Product Management. “This season also saw the return of the Big 4 with KPMG and EY offering attractive profiles,” the placement report mentions.
Conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group and GMR Group hired for their MT Programmes. First-time recruiters in this domain were Mukunda Foods, AlcoBrew, along with regular recruiters like Azure Power and Cadila Pharmaceuticals.
IT & Analytics
IIM Rohtak states that the highest salary was offered in this domain. Google made a comeback and offered a varied role to the batch. Other top recruiters were Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys BPO, LatentView Analytics and also new entrants like Pucho, Vinculum offered profiles that stretched across Business & Technology Consulting, IT Operations, Management Consulting & Research.
Larsen & Toubro, Amazon, HDFC Life, Ecom Express were among the top recruiters of Operations domain which extended five percent of the total offers.
