Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.
It would be really helpful if you can email the concened authorities about the application process for improvement exam. They usually dont disclose the procedure for the same. However worry not. The improvement exam tends to be a relatively easier.
Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!
Hello there,
NMAT is a national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to NMIMS University and other prestigious Indian business schools. Your percentile must be greater than 95, so any number above 200 is considered good. With this score, you can apply to colleges such as Xavier, SDA Bocconi, VIT, SRM, and others. Use this link for more information on the NMAT admissions process.
Best wishes
Hello,
It will be difficult for me to guide for exact scaled score but I can inform you one thing that with the mark of 196 you will not get NMIMS Mumbai. In NMAT you should focus on your speed because there are too many questions to solve within limited time.
This year paper was little bit easy so cut off will be high accordingly. Try to get more marks around 220+ in NMAT to crack one of the top B-schools.
Thank you.
Hope it helps!
Hi,
Criteria
ParticularsDetails
SubjectsShould have studied Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory in 11th and 12th standard.
Marks RequiredAt least 60% aggregate marks or 6CGPA (55% in the case of CBSE and ICSE) should have been scored in the qualifying exam.
This is the score which generally gets you a call from colleges like NMIMS Bangalore and NMIMS Hyderabad as well as XIMB. Getting a score of somewhere above 200 is required for this percentile.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Hi Pranshu,
I can see You've got a decent NMAT score in your first attempt. As far as NMIMS Mumbai is concerned, you maybe able to clear the overall cutoff but your sectional scores need a bit of upgradation. As we can see the previous year cutoff for Nmims Mumbai was 235 with sectional scores of 76 in each section. So a bunch of students were not able to fetch the call even after scoring 250+ scores because of their low sectional scores. But the best part of NMAT is that you can give it 3 times and thus I suggest you to take this opportunity and try ro improve your sectional scores along with the overall. I'm sure your would be able to crack it. You just need a improvement in QS and you are good to go.
ALL THE BEST:)

No, you can't fill it now , since you have already applied for NMAT exam. but, you need not worry as the NMAT entrance will also be helpful for applying in NMIMS,as NMAT entrance is considered for many institutes including, NMIMS. So just keep working for your NMAT exam and if you get passed with a good score in this exam, you will be able to get a seat in NMIMS for sure.
you need not worry, it is just like applying for the same Institution through two different sources, like for example, if you have applied for an Institution through online and try to apply for the Institution offline then the management would say that you have already applied.
Similarly, you have already applied for NMIMS, as you have applied for NMAT. The only difference is if you have applied for NMIMS before applying for NMAT, then you will be able to write entrance only for NMIMS, but now you will be writing entrance whose result would be considered for many institutes like, NMIMS, ISB, VIT, ITM and more.
so you need not panic, if you get passed in this NMAT exam, then you can apply for NMIMS for sure, so you need not panic.
