How is the NMAT exam different from the CAT?

roshni 10th Dec, 2021

Hello,

Hope you are doing well!

The major difference between NMAT and CAT is that the former allows a candidate three attempts while in latter, they can appear only once in a year.

Conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), NMAT is a very popular entrance exam in India. Especially, because it is flexible and modelled on GMAT.

NMAT is more speed-based and is an easier nut to crack, but CAT has a higher level of difficulty.

All the best!

Hope it will help!

Thank you!

Is there any book that would suffice for NMAT preparation?

Tanya Gupta 22nd Dec, 2021

Hi,

Yes, you can refer to the official NMAT by GMAC guide for the NMAT preparations. The guide involves a lot of questions, sample papers and solved examples which help you prepare for the actual NMAT examination. In addition to that, you can prepare from the NMAT by GMAC free mock tests which are available as they are really good and very similar to the actual NMAT exam. After you've prepared from the free mock tests, you can also give the paid mock tests as from that you can know your improvement.

I hope this helps,

All the best

I have scored 175 in NMAT, which college should I apply for?

skanditac 25th Dec, 2021

Well with your scores, getting a seat in top - B colleges wil not be possible as it would require a score of 200+ . IBSR Banglore is one of the best colleges where you can apply with your scores. Or else , give another try if you want to get into NMIMS Mumbai or Hyderabad . But you can get admission anywhere except NMIMS Mumbai, Hyderabad or Banglore.
