Hello Nupur,
With a MAT percentile below 50, you have the following choices:
If you are not in a hurry and are ready to push your limits, you can consider appearing for exams like CAT, XAT, NMAT, IIFT, TISSNET.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further clarifications.
Yes, you can do MBA in BSCHOOL after scoring 48% in Graduation (applicable incase of MAT)
MBA - Master of Business Administration, a two years Post Graduation Course and can be pursed through cracking entrance exam like CAT/MAT/XAT etc.
MAT - Management Aptitude Test conducted by AIMA(All India Management Association) - The candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University.
As there is no percentage of marks criteria, you are eligible to apply for MAT for admission to MBA course.
CAT - Common Admission Test, conducted by IIM(Indian Institute of Management) - The candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree with 50% marks(45% marks for SC/ST candidate) in any stream from a recognised University.

Hello Anubhav,
As considering your composite mark you have got a decent score, but comparatively less. You must check three parameters before joining any institution; the parameters are a) Placement, b) Faculty and c) infrastructure. I can suggest some colleges because my friends and cousins are either studying there or have passed out.
NIT, Warangal - This institute on of the top Government Institute for MBA. Institute has a good placement record. Faculties are well experienced in teaching some of them has industrial experience also. Lovely Professional University - One of my friends is passed out from here in 2016, now he is working with an MNC as a state head of their sales. Their last year placement also good, the highest package was 21 LPA. Recently Amazon hired few students at a package of 28 LPA. Fortunately, I have the link so sharing with you. ( https://www.ndtv.com/education/amazon-offers-28-lakh-annual-package-to-two-lpu-students-for-their-ai-skills-1998902 )
You can read it yourself for a better understanding. LPU has its own test, LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test) and this may help you to get eligibility and scholarship also if you are scoring well.
Christ University - This university one of the best university in South India. Considering your MAT score chances are less to get here. But you can apply here if you have luck you can get admission.
XIME & VIT - These institutes also good for management studies. Providing good placements and Infrastructure. Maybe here also the MAT score will be an issue. But if you are securing a good score in their test then the possibility is high.
Hope this information will help you. Please be careful and wise in choosing the right for you. My best wishes.
Good Luck.
