I got 618 in MAT EXAM MAY 2019 and now i want to do MBA IN FINANCE from Karnataka state with govt. as well as semi govt. College .

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 3rd Jun, 2019

There are no such good government colleges accepting MAT scores. Government colleges like IISc Bangalore or the like accept CAT scores only. So if you want admission on the basis of mat scores and are looking for a college that would give you decent placements then the only option is going for private colleges like

MS Ramaiah Institute of Management

ICFAI Bangalore

AIMS Institute

Manipal Academy for higher education

NITTE school of management

If you are looking for a degree in Finance then the best choice will be ICFAI Bangalore since the group is best for financial management course.

Hi Chandan,

you have a got an average score in MAT 2019. I would suggest you to give another attempt and try to score above 600 to target the top colleges under mat like bimtech, greater noida or Christ Banglore. If not then there are some of the good colleges which you target at your score namely Amity University, NDIM,FIIB, ITM Navi Mumbai and many other college.

there will be any difference b/w pbt and cbt based exam of mat may 2019 session ? Which one is easy or level of each one is same?

Binush Mumtaz 20th Apr, 2019

Dear,

The MAT paper based test will be conducted in two phases:

1. May 5, 2019

2. May 19, 2019

While the computer based test will be on only one date which is on may 18, 2019

The level of difficulty will be same for both the exams which is easy to moderate.

But if you want to choose between MAT pbt and cbt, then it solely depends on your ability of solving among others. If you are in ease with scrolling down questions and answers again and again, clicking, navigating tools, marking answers etc then go for the cbt exam otherwise if you do not feel free with the internet technology, have confusion while operating it, then paper based test is best suitable for you.

Hope it helps.
