How is nit Warangal for MBA? What is the MAT cutoff for this college? How are the Placements in this college?

Mythri 7th Jun, 2019
Hey !
Selection into NIT Warangal MBA Admission 2019 will be based on valid CAT/MAT score followed by group discussion and personal interview. As NIT's and IIT'S are known for their technical studies , less importance is given to MBA. Though NIT warangal offers high placement ratio, salary packages given are not high as that of top B-SCHOOLS like IIM's (A, B, C). Average salary package is around 4-6 lakhs. MAT percentile should be above 85percent. Check the below link for more information regarding MBA at NITW.

Hope this helps
All the best !

when mat will happen next time and what are the good colleges ?? Mdi murshidabad will accept Mat score? and what about Kj somaya

Aaa Student Expert 7th Jun, 2019

Hello Rittick,

MAT is conducted four times a year in the months of feb, may, sept and dec. The next Mat will be in Sept 2019.

MDI Murshidabad doesn't accept MAT scores. The admissions here are purely through CAT.  Also KJ Somaiya doesn't accept MAT scores. The admissions at KJ are through CAT, XAT, CMAT & GMAT for the MMS (CET exam) and PGDM program.

There are a lot of colleges under MAT some of them are Jaipuria, Christ Bangalore, ITM Business school, GITAM, IILM and many more. But all these are average colleges and it would be great if you appear for CAT as there are some good colleges available even at 70%ile.

Best Luck!

Hi Harshita,

It all  depends on the score you get. If  your score is  above 650 then you can target some good colleges like Chirst Bangalore, Bimtech Greater Noida, If you have a  score around 600 then you can target colleges like IMS Ghaziabad, NDIM Delhi, FIIB Delhi, JIMs Rohini and many other colleges.

Wish you good luck.

I have attempted the mat exam in Feb 2019 and I got 356 .so what colleges I can prefer for MBA in Bangalore

Arushi 27th Apr, 2019

Hi Tarun,

you have got an average score in feb Mat. Getting into very good college like Christ University, Bangalore will be difficult at your score. I would suggest you to reappear for the exam and try to score better marks with good practise on mock test. If not, then, with 356 score you can target colleges like gibs business school, Bangalore, Don bosco school of management, bangalore, Jain University Bangalore, ITM-Bangalore.

Wish you good luck.

can a candidate take both paper based test and computer based test in may mat 2019? If yes, which mark will be prioritized?

Hiren Ambasana 26th Apr, 2019

Dear Vignesh M,

Hope you are doing well.  You can take both the exams. let me give you an answer in detail.

Making a choice between MAT Paper Based and Computer Based test or taking both the tests depends upon various factors - your preference, computer based or paper based test solving skills among others. Following are the key factors that will help you to select the MAT exam format whether you go for MAT paper based or computer based test or both:

Your Test taking skills: If you have understanding of how to take and appear in computer based tests, navigation tools, scrolling of questions, choosing the answers and marking them and find that test taking is easier in computer based test, you could go for computer based MAT exam. If not well conversant with computers, internet technology, have confusion in navigation tools, it is better to go for paper based MAT exam.

Reading skills: There are 200 questions to be answered in 150 minutes in MAT exam. You need faster reading skill leading to quickly choose the right answer option in MAT. If you can read better and faster and understand quickly on printed paper, you will be able to answer promptly in PBT MAT as compared to CBT MAT. But if you can read speedily on computer screen, it can save you time while answering the questions. The choice therefore between computer based MAT or paper based MAT has to be made judiciously as per your preference at the time of completing the MAT application form.

Choice to take both CBT and PBT MAT: You also have the choice of appearing in both paper based MAT and Computer based MAT exams with an option to improve your score in CBT, if not done well in PBT MAT. Accordingly, by paying Rs.1100/- extra in addition to Rs.1550/- you can appear both in offline MAT and Online MAT and avail the opportunity to improve your score.

Hope I answered your query in much detail. if you have any further queries you can comment over here. Please upvote if you liked the answer. All the very best for the future.
