IN CAT the score you obtain is valid for 1 year and therefore you can give multiple attempts for CAT. You can try as many times as you want. I won't suggest you appear the exam unless you think you are ready.

In order to apply for CAT exam you need to have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in your graduation. Since you are in first year you have plenty of chances to score even better in your graduation.
