What is MAH BBA CET Result 2026 Normalisation Process?

In order to be fair to students in MAH BBA CET, the CET Cell Maharashtra calculates scores using the 'Normalization procedure after considering the percentile score. The percentile scores are marks based on the relative performance of all the candidates who appeared for the examination.

The MAH BBA CET 2026 normalisation process is adopted to account for the difference in the difficulty level of the question paper administered in different sessions. The normalisation process ensures that no candidate derives an unfair benefit or is disadvantaged due to the varying difficulty levels of the exams.

MAH BBA CET Normalisation 2026: What is Percentile Score?

Percentile scores are basically scores obtained by students based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination. While calculating MAH BBA CET percentile score, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.

The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore, the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100. The marks obtained between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles.

How is MAH BBA CET Percentile Score Calculated?

The process of calculating percentile scores begins with the distribution of examinees, followed by the preparation of the results of each session and the compilation of each CET score.

    Step 1: Distribution of candidates

The authorities distribute the examinees over one day and in three shifts per day. Candidates would be distributed into three sessions randomly, such that each session has approximately an equal number of candidates.

Step 2: Preparation of the results of each session

Once examinees are distributed, results for each session are prepared in the form of Raw Scores using the percentile score formula.
