HI,
CAT - Common Admission Test by IIM
MAT - Management Aptitude Test by AIMA
CMAT - Common Management Admission Test by AICTE
GMAT-The Graduate Management Admission Test by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council)
All four exams are the entrance exams that act as the medium for the admissions to the top MBA colleges of the country.
Their conducting bodies are different, they have their different accepting colleges.
MBA Admissions to top colleges across India requires the scores of CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT also there are many other entrance exams like XAT/NMAT/KMAT etc.
Applicants have to apply differently to all of these exams.
Participating colleges of the given three exams are different, some institutes accepts the scores off any one of the following and some institutes require only specific entrance test.
CAT Exam is the most competitive exam for the admissions to the PGDM/MBA/PGPM courses after the graduation. Top most colleges of India like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta and many more.

CMAT Exam is conducted by for the admissions to those colleges who is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development.ONCE IN A YEAR
The syllabus of CAT and GMAT are almost the same. However, the difficulty of the Quant section of GMAT is far lesser than that of CAT exam.GMAT can be taken up to five times over a period of 12 months, with each test being atleast 16 days apart.

GOOD LUCK
Its basically In which you find more comfortable and find more convenient. The difficulty level in both the paper-based and computer based test is similar
Making a choice between MAT Paper Based and Computer Based test or taking both the tests depends upon various factors - your preference, computer based or paper based test solving skills among others. Following are the key factors that will help you to select the MAT exam format whether you go for MAT paper based or computer based test or both:
If you have understanding of how to take and appear in computer based tests, navigation tools, scrolling of questions, choosing the answers and marking them and find that test taking is easier in computer based test, you could go for computer based MAT exam. If not well conversant with computers, internet technology, have confusion in navigation tools, it is better to go for paper based MAT exam.
The choice therefore between computer based MAT or paper based MAT has to be made judiciously as per your preference at the time of completing the MAT application form.
You also have the choice of appearing in both paper based MAT and Computer based MAT exams with an option to improve your score in CBT, if not done well in PBT MAT. Accordingly, by paying Rs.1100/- extra in addition to Rs.1550/- you can appear both in offline MAT and Online MAT and avail the opportunity to improve your score.
With the percentile you're mentioning I'm afraid you won't get a call from JBIMS. First of all it's the most coveted college in India and it requires a percentile of at least 99.99 in MAT, CAT, CMAT and every other exams it consider. But you can definitely check out for other good colleges with your percentile. You've a decent percentile and you can look out for
These are also very good colleges offering great placements.

MAT is the easiest exam to crack as MAT is conducted two times in a year and available in both online and offline mode
These exam entirely depends on your intellect. The difficulty level of the exam is average and you should have scored the required aggregate marks to appear for it.
IPU MBA entrance is also easy as compared to the ssc, other government level exams or any other entrance.
You can refer to good books of MBA Entrance Exam of various publications like Arihant and land yourself with good rank. Adding on to this, another aspect which you need to take care of is keeping yourself updated with current affairs and practice of maths and logical reasoning.
Hope this serves your purpose.
All the Best!
Hi Karan,
If you attempt 85 questions in MAT May 19 it will be a good in number. Make sure your accuracy level is good in attempting those questions. As there will be negative marking in the question for every wrong attempt of question. Percentile will automatically will be good if your accuracy will be good.
Wish you good luck.
