XLRI Jamshedpur PGDM 2014-16 Application Process to Start from Sept 2
XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur is one of the oldest and premier B-schools of India. It was established in the year 1949 by the Jesuit Brothers. XLRI is older than the IIMs also and bears a pristine legacy. The B-School programmes are accredited by AICTE. XLRI also conducts Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), the national level MBA entrance exam whose scores are accepted by over 100 B-schools across India. XLRI Jamshedpur has announced the admission for the academic year 2014-16.

Duration: The duration of the PGDM BM, PGDM HRM and PGDM Global MBA is 2 years and that of the PGDM GMP is 15 months.
Eligibility: Different programs have different eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for the flagship programs of XLRI Jamshedpur are as follows:
For PGDM BM, HRM and Global MBA, the candidates should be graduates in any discipline of minimum 3 yers duration or equivalent from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply provided they complete the final examination by June 10, 2014.
Candidates with minimum 3 years of experience will be given preference for Global MBA.
PGDM (GMP) applicants should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university in India or abroad with minimum 5 years of managerial or supervisory work experience by March 31, 2014.
Selection Procedure: The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of XAT 2014 scores. NRI candidates can apply through GMAT scores (taken between December 1, 2011 and December 20, 2013). The shortlisted candidates for PGDM (BM), PGDM (HRM) and PGDM Global MBA will have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The PGDM (GM) shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview rounds which will take place from February 2 to February 8, 2014.
Application Procedure: The application process will take place in 3 steps. In Step 1, you have to apply for XAT 2014. Candidates have to visit the XLRI website for online application.
The Step 2 is to apply for XLRI programs. The candidates can pay online or by cash or demand draft. The application fees are given in the following table:
For one program
50 USD (or Rs. 3000)
For two programs
75 USD (or Rs. 4500)
Candidates applying for more than 2 programs have to pay Rs. 200 for every additional program.
Important Dates: The XLRI application process will start from Monday, September 2, 2013.
The last date of application is Saturday, December 21, 2013.
The XAT 2014 application process has started from Monday, August 5, 2013 and the last date of application is Friday, November 22, 2013.
