KPPGCA conducts KMAT 2016 on May 29
The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has conducted its state level entrance test on May 29 in paper-pencil based format from 3 to 5 pm. The test is conducted for admissions to post graduate management programmes in the private B-schools of Karnataka state for around 10,000 seats. The officials will announce the KMAT 2016 results on June 10.
As per the official exam pattern, the KMAT 2016 entrance exam was an objective type test with a duration of 120 minutes. The test had 120 questions divided into four sections.
The Exam Pattern of KMAT 2016 for MBA is as follows,
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
The Result of KMAT 2016 will be announced on June 10 by the official test conducting body - KPPGCA. The KMAT 2016 Result will be announced in the form of score-cards, having students overall and sectional scores of the test.
The B-schools accepting KMAT scores will shortlist the applicants on the basis of their cutoffs after the KMAT 2016 result. The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has over 169 member institutions which are affiliated to respective universities in Karnataka.

CAT and CMAT entrance exams are national level entrance exams to get admission in Management courses in postgraduate level. The participating institutes of CAT are 20 IIMs, IITs, JBIMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IMI, FMS and more than 500 colleges accept CAT score across the country. CMAT score is accepted by all the institutes which are AICTE-Approved. Admission process, cut off will be different for each entrance exam. And KMAT is a state level entrance exam for admission to MBA and PGDM in colleges of Karnataka. Depending on your preferences of course, institute, financial assistance you can opt any of the entrance exam. CAT is not necessary to appear in CMAT, KMAT etc.

Yes, KMAT is conducted twice in a year. Candidates can appear for both the sessions if they have less score or if want to improve more.
