Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur, the 11th IIM established in the year 2011 has announced the Admission Criteria for the PGP 2014-16 batch. The admission of IIM Udaipur will take place through CAT 2013 scores, followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
The CAT 2013 cut off, as stated by IIM Udaipur is 90 percentile. Last year the cut off was 80 percentile. Along with the 2 primary factors of selection like CAT 2013 score and Personal Appearance (PA) rounds, the candidates’ profile will also play an important role for the IIM Udaipur PGP 2014 Admission Criteria.
Now let us have a look at the steps of shortlisting and selection in details.Shortlisting Criteria for PA Rounds
The candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Appearance rounds solely on the basis of CAT 2013 scores. The cut off percentiles for the various category of candidates are given in the following table:
Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI)
Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VA & LR)
After the common PA round is conducted for the 6 new IIMs by IIM Trichy, the merit list will be prepared. The criteria for the preparation of the merit list will include CAT score, performance in PA rounds, profile and diversity factors.
The selection criteria and their weights are as follows:
CAT 2013 Score
30% (WAT – 10% PI – 20%)
Academics and work experience are the basis of the profile. The individual weights of these factors are as follows:
Academic Profile: 40% of profile weight
Work experience: 30% of profile weight
Diversity: 30% of profile weight
The following weights will be given to the academic profile:
10th Standard: 10
12th Standard: 10
Under Graduation: 20
The Range of marks for Class 10, 12 and graduation and their weights are given in the following table:

The weights of the work experience will depend on the number of months of post qualification full time work experience. The scores given are as follows:
6 or less
60 or more
15 marks will be awarded to female candidates whereas there is no mark specified for male candidates.
The academic disciplines apart from engineering will be awarded 15% marks in order to ensure academic and educational diversity in the batch.
Apart from IIM Udaipur, 9 IIMs have announced the Admission Criteria for the academic year 2014-16 which includes IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Rohtak, IIM Shillong, IIM Raipur and IIM Trichy.
