IIM Trichy PGP Admission Criteria 2014-16
Institute: Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy)
IIM Trichy or the 11th IIM of the country became functional in the year 2011. The B-School has declared the admission criteria for the flagship PGPM programme for the academic year 2014-16. IIM Trichy plans to invite 110 students for the 2014-16 batch.
The selection will be a two phase process. In the first phase, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT 2013 scores and in the second phase, they will have to appear for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The CAT 2013 cut off will be 97 percentile for the General category candidates. Last year, the CAT cut off was 80 percentile.

Criteria for Shortlisting for Personal Appearance (PA) Process
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT 2013 scores. The cut offs are given as follows:

Second Phase of IIM Trichy Admission Criteria
The criteria for the final selection are as follows:
WAT: Vocabulary, Content and Writing Skills
a)Communication, Attitude and Personality
b)Academic effort and disposition
c)Managerial and leadership attributes
d)Social awareness and disposition
Work Experience: Relevance and quality of actual work done and achievements if any
Performance at UG Level
This performance shall be measured by multiplying the percentage marks scored at the graduation level by the weightage applicable to the discipline as shown below. 10 per cent of the score so obtained shall be considered in the overall evaluation. [per cent score at UG * discipline weightage]* 0.10

CAT 2013 Score
The common WAT and PI rounds of the new IIMs will be conducted by IIM Trichy this year. The cities in which the Personal Appearance rounds will take place are Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
