Institutes: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta
The selection criterion for IIM Calcutta of PGDM and PGDCM candidates for 2014-16 batches is out now. The minimum cut-off for PGP has been set as 95%ile. IIM Calcutta will apply Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).
IIM C would be considering the overall as well as sectional cut-off. The CAT 2013 cut-off criteria set by IIM C is as follows:
Section – I
Section – II
The short listing for stage 1 would be based on CAT score and academic performance provided that the candidate achieves the minimum section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2013.
The method in which points will be allotted for class 10th and class 12th percentages of marks based on aggregate scores is:
Marks (in %) for 10th and 12th
⥠76 and < 81
⥠71 and < 76
⥠66 and < 71
⥠60 and < 66
Candidates in each category securing the above percentile in CAT2013 will only be considered for calculation of their composite score in Stage II. However, please note that the actual cut-offs for generation of short list for each category for PI stage will depend on composite score calculated in Stage II, section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2013 and which may be much higher than the above mentioned minimum cut-offs.
Components and corresponding weights assigned for generating category-wise short-lists for the PI stage

Candidates based on their performance in CAT 2013, Class X and XII marks and gender diversity criteria will be called for the PI stage of selection process like Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT) etc.Females would be given 3 points in gender diversity.
Cut-offs for the final stage of selection category-wise will depend upon the section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2013, composite score based on components are:

What should I fill in "year of passing" in 12th field in CAT form 2020 if I passed 12th in 2016 and appeared for Improvement in all subjects in 2017 ? Also I have improved my percentage so which marks should I enter? Please Help. Remember I passed all my subjects in 2016.
It is a tricky situation but the answer is simple. You passed the senior secondary exam in the year of 2016 so you should mention 2016 as the year of passing. You are saying that you secured more percentage in improvement, then you can mention the improved grades in the form. But at the time of interviews, you will have to carry both the marksheets . Only The one with the more percentage , shall be considered valid. Which is the improved one in your case.
And lastly, dont worry . This does not affect the admission criteria .As long as you have cracked the entrance exam and proved your caliber for the respective exam, you are pretty much good to go.

my 10th 12th grad sccores are 86,82,57. I am an maths graduate from presidency UNIVERSITY.I am an SC student.I have been preparing for UPSC for last 2 and half years. BUT I cant crack it. SO I want to give CAT this year. HOW much percentile I have to get to get IIM CALCUTTA. please help me
Your marks are quiet good. As you belong to SC category, it will give you an advantage to clear CAT as the cutoff is less for SC/ST category. However for IIM Calcutta, the cutoffs of previous years papers were 70 percentile for SC category. But remember cutoffs do vary every year and depend on the toughness of paper, the no of candidates appearing in it and so on.
All the best.
