XLRI Jamshedpur commences 2013-15 session with 420 students
Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur has commenced the new session at the B-School on Friday, June 14, 2013. The total number of students that have been enrolled for the academic session starting from 2013 is 420. The number of students in each batch is as follows:

Apart from the 2 year flagship programs, 2 students in the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) and 20 students in Executive Fellow Program in Management (EFPM) have also been enrolled for the current academic year.
The students belong to diverse educational and professional backgrounds. The occasion of the commencement of the new session of 2013-15 was graced by the Director, Deans, faculty members, students and parents at XLRI Jamshedpur.
The B-School will organize Orientation programs for the students before their classes commence in order to give them a preview of the next 2 years. The first term would include Village Exposure Programs and outbound adventure program. According to XLRI Jamshedpur, both the programs have been drawn up to sensitize the students of the tough life in rural India, whilst inculcating the paramount importance of team spirit, solidarity and empathy for the underprivileged.
Welcoming the students, Fr. E Abraham, S.J. (Director) said, “XLRI is a management school with a difference emphasizing not merely on knowledge dissemination, but gives equal importance to personal, spiritual and social development of students. Such an integral and value-based formation will help mold the future manager to be an innovative, competent, creative and empathetic leader”.
Fr. Abraham also added, “As a thought leader, XLRI always strives to offer an education regimen which goes beyond a mere degree and aims at grooming students as responsible leaders for the society at large.” He also mentioned that XLRI Jamshedpur has become the first Indian B-School to commit and endorse the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) of un Global Compact.

Village trips, outbound programs and exposure to Indian Business History further exemplify XLRI’s innovativeness in sensitizing the future business leaders.”
