XAT 2017 was conducted in a paper-pen based mode on January 8 across 47 test centres in India. According to an exam analysis, the XAT 2017 paper had a lower level of difficulty as compared to last year.
As per the marking scheme of XAT 2017, each question carries 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer, after the 12 un-attempted questions. The scores of Paper 1 and Paper 2 are calculated differently and will also be mentioned under separate sections in the XAT score cards. The percentage or percentile of GK will be calculated separately and not included in total percentage or percentile.
After the announcement of the XAT percentile and cut-off, candidates will be shortlisted by XLRI Jamshedpur and other participating institutes for the next round of selection process i.e. Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and or Essay Writing/Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds.
