XAT 2016 application ends on December 10
The application process for XAT 2016 is ending on Thursday, December 10, 2015. After this date, aspirants would not be able to register for the entrance exam for XLRI Jamshedpur and 141 B-schools across India. The original application deadline for XAT 2015 was November 30, 2015 which got extended till December 10.

The application process is completely online where the applicants have to visit the official website of XAT and register themselves by filling up a form. After the generation of the XAT ID and password, you have to login using the credentials and fill up the application form.
After filling up the form, you have to pay the application fee which is Rs. 1500. This year onwards, there is a common application process for XAT and XLRI. For each course, the application fee is Rs. 250 which you will have to pay alongside the XAT 2016 application fee.
After paying the application fee, you will need to upload your photograph and signature. The file format should be .jpg and size should not exceed 1 MB. Before starting the application process, ensure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria.
This year, XAT has undergone major changes in the exam pattern. The duration of the exam has increased to 205 minutes from erstwhile 180 minutes. The number of questions in Paper 1 has been decreased to 78. Last year, the number of questions was 84. The number of questions in the GK section would be 25, which has increased from 20. Each question will carry equal marks and there will be negative marking of Â¼ allotted marks. Candidates are allowed to unattempt 13 questions, beyond which there would be negative marking of 0.05 marks.
Around 90,000 candidates had applied for XAT 2015.

I have 93% in 10th , 93% in state board; 55%in graduation(math). What percrntile in cat or xat will ensure me a good college ?
It depends, for IIMS you have to score minimum 99 percentile. It is the basic eligibility criteria for iims also they will see your previous marks and then only you are eligible for the further process.
If you want b school than you have to score above 80 or 85 percentile to get admissions in good and reputated institution .
Many college also go for group discussion to eliminate students.

what if i attempt only verbal ,lr and decision-making sections leaving quants in XAT.will be able to score 80 percentile.if yes ,please let me let me know the number of questions i should attempt in these sections.
Hello there. Hope you are doing good. I would like to tell you that if you are targetting top colleges accepting XAT score. Then, it is mandatory to clear sectional cutoffs. You need to score well in each section. Moreover, considering past year XAT scores, you should score approximately 26-27.5 score in order to fetch 80-85 percentile in XAT. You can attempt the questions based on accuracy accordingly.
