XLRI cut off for 2013: PGDBM: 92.25 percentile
PGDHRM: 88 percentile
XAT 2014 pattern: XAT will consist of two parts. The first part will be multiple choice objective question paper. There will be three sections, Verbal Ability, Decision Making and Quantitative Aptitude. The total number of questions in this section was 91 in XAT 2013. The duration of the first part is 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The part 2 of the paper is both objective and subjective in nature and consists of two sections, General Awareness and Essay Writing. The General Awareness section had 30 questions in XAT 2013. This section was objective in nature. The essay topic was Corruption is the root cause for the Indian economic slowdown. The duration of this section is 40 minutes.
Prof. Vishwa Ballabh, Admission Chairperson of XLRI Jamshedpur mentioned that the pattern of XAT 2014 is most likely to remain the same as XAT 2013. “The overall change in the paper pattern was appreciated. Hence we plan to continue with this pattern only.”
