Hello student as per source and previous year cut off its bit difficult to get get a call from TAPMI with marks less than 650in GMAT as we all know that seats are very limited and admission is directly based merit rank, also you didn't mention your category as it also helps you to get admission in college please help me with your category so that I can provide you exact information.

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt
Good luck

hello, i have scored 7.6cgpa in 10th and 59.8 %in 12th.I am a non-engineer..i dont have any work experience.I am expecting 90% in xat. Can i get into tapmi?

thomas joy 29th Nov, 2019
Hi Bhayashree,
TA pai management institute which is located in Manipal is one of the top leading business institutes in India.a nd it is ranked 33 by NIRF. T.A. PAI institute is offering PGFM in management ( 420 seats), Human resource management (60 seats), Banking and financial service (60 seats) and Marketing and sales management (60 seats)
For getting admission you have to get high marks in XAT, MAT and GMAT exam.
There are 2 steps in admissions

1) Entrance exam score, 10th grade, 10+2 grade, Graduation, Work experience from companies and your other achievement.
Note that TAPMI shortlist based on your entrance scores , marks and work experience, so if you don't have any work experience, you may find difficult to get admitted also you didn't mention any graduation, you have to complete a degree course.

2) You have to give WAT, which is written ability test and personal interview and a statement of purpose are also asked in the admission procedure.
You are selected by this procedure.
Hope you get it, and if you have any doubts please do comment in the comment box.
Thank you

I have a GMAT score of 470 and an work experience of 39 months in Automotive Software development and BE aggregate of 83. What are my chances of getting to TAPMI ?

Malini S N 28th Nov, 2019

Since your aggregate in BE is 83%,you will satisfy the minimum eligibilty criterion(50 %) and you will subjected to shortlisting process. For candidates with work experience of two years or more TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting. Profile considered for shortlisting consists of valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher), academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, backlogs during graduation etc.), work experience (type of company, total experience, etc.), extra-curricular achievements if any.For more clarity, you can visit the below given website

Which is better between TAPMI and Great Lakes and TAPMI and SIBM Banglore?

sarthak goel 22nd Nov, 2019

Hello Mehul,

TAPMI T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) was established in 1980 and is located in Manipal. It is a quite prestigious B school. It is a private autonomous school with a 42 acre campus size. The average package is 11.06 lakhs.

visit the following link for TAPMI: https://www.careers360.com/colleges/ta-pai-management-institute-manipal

SIBM banglore, is also a private institute and was established in 2008. The fees for MBA here is around 7.5 L per anum. The best part about this is the location and the teaching methodology. It competes with some of the top colleges for MBA in the world. Student strength here is around 210.

Great Lakes Institute of Management is a private business school in India. It was founded in 2004. The main campus is in Chennai. Student strength here is around 250. Average package is around 9.5L. https://www.careers360.com/colleges/great-lakes-institute-of-management-chennai I think SIBM Banglore would be the best choice among the three. After that TAPMI and then Great Lake.

Hope this helps

For admission in tapmi 2020 , what is the admission process after appearing cat/xat exam?

ashutosh gupta 9th Nov, 2019
  1. TAPMI eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  2. TAPMI uses CAT/XAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for Post-graduate Programmes in Management. Accordingly, the candidate should be registered for CAT 2019/XAT 2020 or Taken GMAT and must score well to become eligible for admission.
  3. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGDM admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by TAPMI by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate.
  4. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for TAPMI Admission 2020.
  5. It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by TAPMI and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination latest by the stipulated date as announced by TAPMI
