MAT May 2013 Exam Analysis
MAT May 2013 exam, the second of the year conducted by AIMA was held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in the paper pencil based format.
The exam was on the expected lines with no surprises. There were five sections with 40 questions each, making the total number of questions 200. The sections were Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency and Indian and Global Environment. The duration of the paper was 150 minutes. For each correct answer, one mark was awarded and there was negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The overall difficulty level was easy to moderate.

The section was a mix of Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary. There were five reading comprehension passages which were of approximately 500 to 600 words. Each passage had four questions. While three of the passages were straight forward and fact based, two were abstract and inferential in nature.
The vocabulary and grammar questions were on Antonyms, Fill in the blanks and Odd word out, jumbled words and sentences, para jumbles and sentence correction. Overall difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult and was quite lengthy too.
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
This section was the easiest in the whole paper. Maximum number of questions appeared from Mathematical Reasoning, which was 27. The other questions were on Verbal Ability which were asked on topics of Analogy, Series, Statement-Conclusion, Blood Relations, Directions, Analytical Reasoning, Assertion Reason and Cause and Effect. The overall difficulty level was Easy with questions on Series and Analytical Reasoning going up to moderate level.
This section had questions from diverse areas. Majority of the questions were on Arithmetic. The topics of the Arithmetic questions were Ratio, Profit & Loss, Averages, Time-Speed-Distance, Time & Work, Partnerships and Percentages. Some of the questions were ambiguous in nature. The other topics were Geometry and Mensuration, Cubes, Number System, Probability and others. The difficulty level of this section was easy. Few questions were of moderate difficulty level.
Data Analysis and Sufficiency
This section was of highest difficulty level. The topics of this section from which the questions arrived were Caselet, Bar Graph, line Graph, Pie Chart, Mixed, Table, Data Sufficiency and Data Comparison. The questions were calculation intensive.
Indian and Global Environment
Though this section was a mix of current affairs and static GK, but it was mostly dominated by current GK questions. The difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate. The topics of the questions were Business Awareness, Politics, Sports, Books and Authors etc.
The expected cut off, as suggested by Career Launcher is 120 to 140.

Admission to MBA Programme in Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi is done through CAT scores only, the eligibility criteria is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, when it comes to the weightage assigned for admission it's follows-
- CAT Score - 50%
- Marks obtained in Class X - With 60% and above but less than 75%: 5% weightage is provided and in case of 75% and above 10% is given
- Marks obtained in Class XII - securing 60% and above but less than 75% is given 5%, with 75% and above provides 10%
- Discussion on Statement of Purpose - 10%
- Extempore – 5%
- Personal Interview - 15%

when will be the results of mat 2021 which held on sep12
It is expected that MAT 2021 result will be declared by the third week of September 2021, so it is expected that the result will be out soon on the official website, however the exact date for the result has not been declared by the authorities.
The exam in PBT mode was held on 5th September, 2021 and the exam in CBT mode was held in two phases, the first phase was on held on 21st August, 2021 and second phase was held on 12th September, 2021.

In December 2021 mat exam will be conducted or not ?
hope you are doing great. As per your query I would glad to tell you that as per current siuation, majority of persons are getting vaccinated due to which corona cases are getting decreased and situation is improving and september phase of mat has already been conducted . So in december their are high chances that mat will be conducted

No electronic devices such as calculator mobile electronic gadgets are not allowed in MAT Exam. However MAT can be given in two options AT THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION OR COMPUTER BASED TEST.

Last date to apply for CMAT and mat for government colleges ?
The students who wish to appear for the MAT 2021 exam can register on the official website of AIMA-MAT. The MAT application fee is Rs 1,650. The last date to apply for MAT CBT was September 6. MAT is a speed based entrance exam conducted for admission to over 700 MBA colleges in India.
CMAT registration process is expected to open on November 1, but due to Covid-19 pandemic all the CMAT 2022 exam related activities may be delayed. There are 1000+ AICTE approved MBA/PGDM institutes that will accept CMAT 2022 score for admission to their flagship MBA/PGDM 2022-24 batch.
