IIM Nagpur has completed the summer placement process for the PGP batch of 2016-18. More than 40 companies participated in the process and extended internship offers to the students. The number of first time recruiters have increased compared to previous year. Sales and Marketing was the most preferred domain among students. Strategy, Consulting, Finance, Business Analytics, IT Consulting, Operation, and IOT were the other recruiting areas.Yes Bank, BPCL, ICICI Lombard, Choice India, Calderys, Delivering Change Foundation (Sakal Group), IDBI Federal, Excellon, Diffusion Engineers, WCL, Persistent, etc. were among the prominent recruiters. ICICI Lombard and IDBI Federal made the highest number of offers.
The average stipend has increased by 24 per cent to Rs. 56,900. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 1.6 lakh. According to Dr. Vijay Phate, In-charge Placement Office, IIM Nagpur, both average and highest stipend have increased compared to last year.
The locations where IIM Nagpur students have been offered Summer Internship include metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, as well as Nagpur.
Aniket Hinge, placement coordinator, said “The PGP batch of 2016-18 has performed
excellently – both academically and professionally. Their summer internship placements speak for it. IIM Nagpur's presence is being felt in the corporate fraternity resulting in more number of new firms absorbing the talent pool at the Institute.”

You have secured a good percentile in CAT examination. As you have secured 8204 percentile in SC category, you have chance to get a call from good IIMs. Also ,After every CAT exam every IIM prepares a merit list to call candidates for next round of interview based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, whose weight varies for all different IIMs. As per your percentile you will get call from all the old IIMs, as well as new IIMs. You will get call from:
Once you get call from IIM, you have to go through the WAT exam and interview process. On clearing both an another merit list will be prepared, which will select you to get enter into IIM.
They provide dual degree program to some selected students. For IIM calcutta:- the process is selection through CAT/GMAT score. Then going through other screening tests. If you qualify then you will get an admission. The process will be same for all the IIMs but may be the cutoff mark will vary with respect to campus location.
New IIMs are worth joining as said by the students who joined and they had a good experience there and they adventured many new things. Fee structure and hostel facilities are also good.
