After the declaration of CAT 2014 result, IIM Ahmedabad had declared shortlist of 1249 candidates. Those candidates had to appear for the Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
The final selection list was computed on the basis of Composite Score which will be calculated after the AWT & PI rounds. Regarding the process of computing the Composite Score, IIM Ahmedabad mentions, “First, CAT, AWT and PI scores of a candidate are normalized by dividing it with the corresponding maximum possible score that could be obtained.”
The formula through which CS would be computed is as follows:
CS = 0.50 (Normalized PI Score) + 0.10 (Normalized AWT Score) + 0.40 (Normalized CAT Total Score).
The CAT 2014 cutoff for the General category candidates was 99.67 percentile. The following table brings to the cutoff on the basis of which the candidates were shortlisted.
Minimum CAT percentile for General category candidates
Minimum CAT percentile for NC-OBC category candidates
Minimum CAT percentile for SC category candidates
Minimum CAT percentile for ST category candidates

The fee for the PGP batch has been increased from Rs. 16.6 lakh to Rs. 18.5 lakh. The 2015-17 session is expected to start from June 2015.
