FMS Delhi completes final Placements for 2013

Faculty of Management Studies of FMS Delhi has recently conducted the final placement process for the year 2013. The institute saw 31 new recruiters and some niche roles were offered.

Domain wise split
Sales & Marketing domain is the with 39% recruitment followed by Consulting and General Management which is 27%. BFSI is next with 21% recruitment. IT/ITES and HR/Operations domain include 7% and 6% recruitment respectively.
Sector wise split
Among the sectors, Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) reigned with 19% recruitment followed by FMCG and Telecom/IT with 18% recruitment each. It is followed by consulting sector which consisted of 18% recruitment. Media/Entertainment, Consumer Durables and Energy consist of 5% recruitment each. Miscellaneous sectors included 9% recruitment.
Top recruiters of 2013
The following paragraphs will share with you the top sector wise recruiters.
Consulting, Strategy, General Management
The top recruiters of this sector are Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Management Consulting, Deloitte, Capgemini, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bain Capability Centre among others.
While BCG was the first time recruiter, Capgemini Management Consulting was the highest recruiter in this sector with 12 offers.
The top General Management recruiters were Tata Administrative Services, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries Ltd., Ranbaxy, Cipla , Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. and HCL.
The highest recruiter of this domain was ITC with 11 offers. Other top companies were HUL, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola India, Mondelez-Cadbury, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Asian Paints, etc.
Other major recruiters of FMCG sector were PepsiCo, Reckitt Benckiser, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., L'Oreal, Nivea, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Ltd., Britannia, SABMiller and Akzo Nobel.
Some of the first time recruiters of this sector were 3M, Adidas and Yum! Brands. FMS mentions that Yum! Brands hired exclusively from FMS for the position of Senior Brand Manager.
Telecom, Electronics and Automobile companies included Airtel, Vodafone, Philips and Tata Motors. Jumbo Electronics constituted among the international recruiters.
The companies from other sectors which recruited this year from FMS were Shell, Tata Steel, BPCL, IOCL and Extramarks.com.
The top media companies which hired from FMS included HT Media, Times OOH and first-time recruiters such as Network18 and Mogae Media among others.
According to FMS, about one-fifth students were recruited in the Finance sector across functions like investment banking, wholesale banking, corporate finance, treasury etc.
The recruiters in the investment banking profile were O3 Capital, Goldman Sachs and SBI Capital Markets. Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered, HSBC, Axis Bank, ICICI, Yes Bank, Bank of America Merryl Lynch and American Express recruited for Wholesale Banking and Treasury roles.
Corporate Finance Roles were offered by Nestle and Wipro. Other recruiters were EXL Services, Trident, ING Vysya, Max Life Insurance etc.
AC Nielson recruited for its prestigious Finance Leadership Program for the first time in this year.
The top IT recruiters were Microsoft for the role of Program Manager in the India Development Centre and HCL recruited for its Global Engagement Manager profile. E-Commerce had its fair share of recruitments by Amazon, MakeMyTrip, Ibibo, Infoedge and Valyoo technologies. KPMG and Capgemini offered the roles of IT advisory and IT consulting. Other It recruiters were Aricent, TCS, Genpact, Wipro, Saviance etc. which hired for the roles of Product Management, Business Development and Marketing to IT Consulting.
Mars Chocolates, Tata Steel, Flipkart, Morarka and Channel Play offered Supply Chain and Operations roles. Wipro offered the role of Supply chain consulting.
Top PSUs such as IOCL, BPCL and Power Finance Corporation participated in the FMS placement 2013.
