IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Trichy, IIM Indore and other B-Schools like XLRI Jamshedpur, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, Cochin University etc., are taking preventive measures by postponing events like convocation ceremonies and large gatherings, imposing travel restrictions of foreign facility members for executive or full tile programme as well as holding extensive awareness generation programmes about the COVID 19 to provide knowledge to candidates and other associated people.
Almost all IIMs have postponed their convocation ceremonies and issued a notice in the public interest about the COVID 19. As far as admissions and placements are concerned, some of the B-Schools offering MBA courses or PGP programmes have proposed to conduct the interview in online mode. Upon hearing this proposal, some of the candidates have raised an objection saying physical appearance is a plus factor in any interview and hence conducting online interviews may mislead the interview.
