IIM Bangalore is expected to announce CAT result 2016 anytime now. IIMs had indicated the same on January 7, 2017, when the official website stated, “The Login to form will be available only between 09-01-2017 10 Hours 00 Minutes to -Hours Minutes.” At 10 AM, today, the result window was open, though the score cards could not be downloaded. However, given a heavy rush on the website, it is currently asking candidates to login after some time.
As soon as the CAT 2016 result is out students can download their CAT score cards by entering their login ID and password on the ‘Score Card’ button. In addition to downloading their CAT 2016 score cards, candidates will also receive SMS alerts from IIM Bangalore indicating their total score and percentile. However, students will not be given any hard copies of their CAT result 2016 and, hence, they are advised to download multiple copies to be used in further rounds of the selection procedure.
Once the CAT result 2016 is declared, candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds in 20 IIMs and other top Business schools across India. Each IIM will release the list of shortlisted candidates for their programmes after the declaration of CAT result 2016. Apart from their total score, candidates will also be judged on their section wise score of CAT.
As many as 2,32,434 candidates had registered for CAT 2016, of which approximately, 1.95 candidates appeared for one of the toughest management entrance tests in the country. CAT 2016 was held in the computer based mode on December 4, 2016 in two slots- forenoon and afternoon. CAT result 2016 will be vaild for a period of one year. Tata Consultancy Services was the testing partner for CAT 2016.
