Amit Bhadoriya, from IIT Bombay appearing from a centre in Mumbai said that Verbal Ability may be his problem area, especially CAT Day 1 had indicated this section to be tougher this year . The final year student was not very positive about the increase in exam duration as he felt that the increased time is disproportianate to the increase in number of questions.

CAT 2014 reaction before entering to exam centre:
Preparing all the way since June -
Parent's high expectation -
Allocation of the centres seem to be a problem for some students in Delhi as well in Mumbai. At Computer Junction in Naraina, most of the parents seem to be more concerned about the smooth conduct of the exam as, according to them, the center was not looking very well equipped for a prestigious exam like CAT.
Another issue at the test centre is that some students were asked to bring additional photographs on account of their pasted photographs on the admit card being hazy. The students, as well as their parents were seen confused regarding the issue as such a requirement had not been intimated to them earlier.
Meanwhile, many students in Mumbai are also having a tough time commuting to their centre, Bharatiya Vidyapeeth institute of Management and Information Technology at Navi Mumbai on time.
Nisha, a mathematics honours students appearing from a centre in Delhi too says Verbals is the area she is worried about. “I can manage quant but am worried about verbals as it can be tricky sometimes,” she said.
However, parents looked confident for the performance of their wards. Atul Katyal, father of Shefali, a fresh graduate said, "My daughter is a very hardworking girl. I am confident she will get through one of the IIMs”
Overall 1,96,915 students have registered for this year’s CAT examination which is scheduled to be conducted in a two day window of November 16 and 22, in two slots. CAT 2014 Day 2 aspirants are required to carry their Admit Cards with recent color photograph pasted along with their Photo identity cards. With a small glitch on Day 1 of CAT 2014, faced by the students who were not allowed to enter the exam hall as they didn’t had their photograph pasted on their CAT 2014 Admit Cards, it is important for Day 2 aspirants to read and prepare themselves as per the instructions mentioned on their Admit cards.

According to CAT 2014 Convenor, Dr. Rohit Kapoor, more than half the aspirants of CAT 2014 are taking the exam in the two slots of 22 November.
The Day 1 of the CAT 2014 Exam had a surprise element for the students with no questions from the Vocabulary section. As per the students’ reactions and Careers360 data analysis, the CAT 2014 exam on November 16 in both the slots was of Easy to Moderate level. Also in the CAT 2014 Day 1 exam, Quant and DI section was the easiest as ever since CAT 2006. The LR section was of difficult level as compared to QA and VA section. However, it is not mandatory that the students will have the same difficulty level on the Nov 22, Day 2 CAT 2014 Exam.
In CAT 2014, several changes were made in the exam pattern. The new exam pattern, launched this year includes three major changes i.e. the number of questions has increased from 60 to 100, the duration of CAT has increased by 30 minutes and; there is no sectional boundary unlike the previous years.
Also, from 2014 onwards, Tata Consultancy Services is the online testing partner of CAT for the next 5 years.

Questions related to CAT
95% in class 10 ,80.33 percentage in class 12 , 9.8 cgpa in graduation and 99.5+ percentile in CAT...is it enough to get a call from top IIM ?
Many Many Congratulations for such an outstanding scores in your exams and you have really performed very well in the Exams.
As you have asked for the top IIMs, with this much marks...First of all, I want to clear you that only CAT and graduation marks matters for them and rest all others are only for upgrading your CV profile during the call.
You have scored 99.5+ percentile in CAT, which is just excellent and surely you are going to get the calls from top IIMs for sure like IIM AHMEDABAD, IIM LUCKNOW, IIM BANGALORE, IIM CALCUTTA and many others.
You have performed very well and in return of it, you are getting an excellent college out of it.
I am providing you the link also where you can check all IIMs cut-offs for the final call to some student :
Hope that my answer helped you!!
Good Luck and Best wishes for your Future!!
my state rajasthan i got 557 mark ews cat rank 5448 any chance in state or aiq in neet

Hope this helps
I have 95 percentage in class 10 , 82.4 in class 12, 9.8 CGPA in BTech Marine Engineering, if I get above 98 percentile in CAT can I get into top IIM ?
Congratulations on your great academic records. But sadly that will only give you an added advantage but will not guarantee you a seat in top IIM. Also you have mentioned top IIMs, but you have not mentioned whether you wish to persue MBA from the old ones like Ahmedabad,Bangalore,Calcutta or the comperatively newer Lucknow,Kozhikode,Indore.
Sadly if you are general and you being an engineer, you need atleast a 99.2+ %ile to get into any of them along with performing exceptionally well in WAT-PI.
The diversity factors will help you in improving your overall score and also help you in your interviews (I believe), but you need a very high percentile to get admission in the IIMs.
Hope this helps!
which subject I should start preparing first in cat
Your complete CAT paper is divided into three major sections :-
*Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
*Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
But, it's not like first you prepare for one section and then for other and then for the last one rather you should start preparing for all the three section at the same time and for that you will need to make a routine and devote time for all the three sections and give more time to the section which is your weak for example if your attitude is weak then give more time to it
After completing cat syllabus, go through
Solve previous year question papers of CAT :-it will let you know the examination pattern, type and difficulty level of questions, also concepts behind the question often gets repeated, so you should definitely solve year papers
*CAT mock test papers , it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination

last tym 67%result but this tym 55%na then I didnt have chance to get mbbs seat and i got 395 (sc) telangana state. cat a also no chance ha ???
It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get seat or not as cut off marks/rank for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 395 marks you hold a low chance to get a seat in A category seats i. e government quota seats in private medical college
In Neet 2019, the lowest marks that got a seat in government quota seat in a private medical college state quota was 407 marks for sc category and it was for MAHAVIR INST OF MED SCI, VIKARABAD
With your marks you have chances for management seats in private medical college and deemed universities
