CAT 2014 Day 1 Slot 2 Over; Mixed Reactions from Candidates
The Slot 2of CAT 2014 Day 1 got concluded at 5.50 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2014. The 2 hour 50 minutes duration test had started from 3 pm. The second slot too followed the similar events as that of the first slot.
The entry to the test center started from 1 pm onwards, 2 hours prior to the test which started from 3 pm to 5.50 pm. It was observed that many of the candidates forgot their Photo ID Card or pasting photographs in the CAT 2014 Admit Card. Such candidates faced difficulty as they were denied entry to the test center.

Deepika Parashar, a candidate for second slot of CAT mentioned, “The Verbal Ability section was too lengthy. The Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning sections were tough too. Quant was interesting as it was neither too easy nor too difficult.”
Chandan, another candidate in the Sarita Vihar center for CAT 2014 Day 1 Slot 2 said, “It was my first attempt but I found the exam level to be moderate. Verbal was tougher than QA.”
The CAT 2014 Day 1 Slot 2 replicated the exam pattern and difficulty level of the Slot 1. As per the candidates, the exam was on the expected model. The difficulty level was moderate to tough. Logical Reasoning section continued to be the toughest area followed by Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability areas.
Overall around 1 lakh candidates took CAT 2014 on Day 1. The Day 2 of CAT 2014 is scheduled on Saturday, November 22, 2014. 1,96,915 candidates had registered for CAT 2014.
