IBSAT 2013 Syllabus for Verbal Ability

The total number of questions in the Verbal Ability section is 50. This section basically deals with the English Usage part. The areas of English Language from which the questions arrive are as follows:

  • Vocabulary

  • English Usage

  • English Grammar

  • Replace the missing words

  • Para Jumble

The difficulty level of this section is generally easy to moderate.

IBSAT 2013 Syllabus for Reading Comprehension

The number of questions in this section is 25. There are 3 Reading Comprehension passages from which the questions are asked which number to 25. The questions are generally direct and seek factual answers and not tough or inferential. However, you can expect certain tricky questions as well, though the number is much lesser than the easy questions.

IBSAT 2013 Syllabus for Quantitative Ability

The number of questions in this section is 25. The general difficulty level is moderate. The topics of the Quantitative Ability section can be listed as follows:

  • Number System

  • Profit & Loss

  • Discount

  • Average

  • Time and Work

  • Percentage

  • Geometry

  • Mensuration

  • Probability

  • Permutation & Combination

  • Co-ordinate Geometry

  • Arithmetic Progression

  • Algebra

Most of the questions are easy to solve.

IBSAT 2013 Syllabus for Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation

The number of questions in this section is 25. The questions are asked from the following areas:

  • Data Interpretation

  • Data Sufficiency

  • Logical Reasoning

The breakup of the number of questions is as follows:

Data Sufficiency – 15

Logical Reasoning – 5

Data Interpretation – 5

The difficulty level of the questions of this section is easy.
