HPU MAT 2022 Exam - Dates, Eligibility, Application Form, Admit Card

Himachal Pradesh University Management Aptitude Test or HPU MAT 2022 is the management entrance test conducted by the Business School of Himachal Pradesh University for admission to its MBA programme. HPU MAT 2022 result has been announced on June 24. Candidates can access the HPU MAT result 2022 at the official website, admissions.hpushimla.in.

The test is conducted annually and was scheduled to be conducted on June 20 at various centres across Himachal Pradesh. Around 3,000 candidates appear for the offline exam (paper-pencil) every year. The HP University, Shimla offers around 50 (15 Subsidized + 35 Non-Subsidized) seats through this test.

The eligibility criteria of HPU MAT 2022 states that General category candidates with minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation in any stream from a recognised university can apply for the exam.

The HPU MAT 2022 eligibility criteria is a little different for reserved categories (SC/ST). The candidate belongs to the mentioned categories with minimum 45 per cent marks in Graduation are eligible for the exam.

The exam has an age limit of 26 years for boys and 28 years for girls. The maximum age for SC/ST category girls is 29 years.

The age limit is not applicable for non-subsidised students, defence personnel, and nominee of State/Central government of India. Candidates are advised to check the HPU MAT eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

The window for application form of HPU MAT 2022 has closed. To fill the HPU MAT 2022 application form, candidates were required to have a scanned copy of their passport size photograph & signature, a scanned copy of the candidate’s parent’s signature, passing certificate(s) and mark sheet (s), and a valid mobile number & email address. 

The application fee for General and Reserved categories is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 respectively. The fee can be paid via net banking, credit/debit card and bank challan.

As per the HPU MAT 2022 exam pattern, the exam will be an offline test (paper-pencil medium). The duration of the exam is two hours and is composed of 200 multiple choice questions divided into four sections - English Comprehension & Language, General Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, General Knowledge & Business Awareness, and Numerical Ability & Data Interpretation.

Each section has around 50 questions and each question carries 1 mark. The exam doesn’t have negative marking. Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions.

The exam is conducted at multiple centres across Himachal Pradesh including Mandi, Palampur, Shimla, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, etc.

HPU Business School has released admit card of the HPU MAT 2022 exam online on June 07. To download the HPU MAT 2022 admit card, candidates can visit the official website, log in with their HPU MAT registration id and password. The HPU MAT 2022 admit card will be available for download soon after the registration ends.

To appear for the exam, candidates must carry the HPU MAT admit card 2022 to the exam centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without the admit card.

Keep a copy of the admit card until the completion of the admission process as it’s required at every stage.

HPU MAT result will be available online only. The test-takers can easily check and download it from the official website using the registration number and date of birth. 

The HPU MAT 2022 result will display the overall score and rank of the candidates. 

Qualifying candidates are called for the selection rounds – Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The HPU MAT cutoff 2022 will be released after the declaration of the result. It’s the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to get shortlisted for the admission process. 

HPU Business releases the cutoff for all categories including General, SC, ST and Subsidised & Non-Subsidised seats. 

The candidates who meet the HPU MAT 2022 cutoff criterion enter the selection process that includes GD and PI. Overall performance in the exam and the selection rounds leads to final admission. 

The cutoff of HPU MAT 2022 depends on various factors such as total number of candidates appearing for the exam, number of candidates qualifying the entrance exam, difficulty level of the question paper, and total number of seats available.  

The selection process of HPU MAT 2022 begins after the result and cutoff are announced. On the basis of cutoff, candidates are shortlisted in the first stage. The HPU MAT 2022 selection process consists of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Then, the shortlisted candidates will appear for GD and PI. The final selection will be announced in July.

GD and PI are an integral part of the HPU MAT 2022 selection process at HPU Business School. Only the shortlisted candidates appear for these rounds.

The institute gives certain weightage to these rounds in the final merit list. Candidates need to perform well in HPU MAT, GD and PI process to get the admission offer. 

Candidates have to submit their academic and professional documents and the supporting document that they have been shortlisted at the time of GD and PI. 

HPUBS offers around 120 seats for its management programme including 60 for Subsidised categories and 60 for Non-Subsidised categories.
