Common Management Admission Test, also known as CMAT is a national level postgraduate entrance exam pertaining to all management programmes. CMAT 2020 is an online (computer-based) exam of 3 hours comprising multiple choice objective questions. The entrance exam will be conducted on January 24, 2020. The application process will start from November 1, 2019, and will end on November 30, 2019. CMAT 2020 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The CMAT result 2020 will be declared on February 3, 2020 in online mode. Earlier, NTA will release the answer key of CMAT 2020 in first week of February. The CMAT scores are required for admission to around 500 AICTE approved B-schools including University departments, constituent colleges, and management institutions across India. As many as 54,516 candidates appeared for the test. Until 2018, it was administered by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) annually as per the regulations of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India.

The CMAT eligibility criteria is prescribed by National Testing Agency (NTA). All aspiring CMAT test takers should meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria of CMAT 2020.
Applicants must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the CMAT 2020 exam. In case they do not fulfill all the eligibility criteria, their candidature will get cancelled during the admission phase.

CMAT 2020 application form will be started from November 1, 2019 and the last date to submit the form will be November 30, 2019. The last date to upload the scanned image of photograph & signature will be first week of December 2019. Prior to filling the CMAT application form 2020, candidates need to register themselves in the web account of NTA by providing their basic credentials.
The application form could be successfully filled in three simple steps-
Filling the online registration with basic credentials
Fill up the Application Form; Personal, Academic and Professional details, if any.
Payment of Application Fee; Can be paid through Net banking, Debit/ Credit Card, and Cash deposit at SBI Bank.
At the time of registration, candidates would need a valid e-mail id and contact number. While filling the application form of CMAT 2020, candidates need to select the exam date and as many as four test cities as per their convenience. Examinees will be allotted test dates and exam centres on first come first serve basis and the allotment will solely depend on the availability of test slots in the choice of exam cities selected during the CMAT 2020 application procedure.

While filling the application form, candidates would need to upload the scanned image of their passport size photograph and signature. The below-given points explain the format and size for both.
The exam conducting authority, National Testing Agency (NTA) prescribes the CMAT 2020 exam pattern. The total duration of the computer-based online CMAT exam is 180 minutes and it consists of four distinct sections, namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.
As per the CMAT exam pattern 2020, a total of 100 questions are equally divided amongst the four sections (25 X 4 = 100). Each question carries four marks and the maximum score that can be obtained is 400. Each correct answer will fetch +4 marks and each incorrect will be penalised with a negative marking of -1 mark.

The admit card of CMAT 2020 will be released by National Testing Agency on December 24, 2020. The online CMAT 2020 admit card will be available to candidates who will successfully submit the application form before the deadline. Applicants will have to download the admit card by entering their login credentials.
The details to be mentioned on the CMAT admit card 2020 are the following-
CMAT 2020 admit card is the mandatory document to be carried at the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
NTA will publish CMAT 2020 answer key along with the questions in first week of February 2020. Both the answer key and response sheet of CMAT 2020 will be available till first week of February 2020. Test takers can check the CMAT answer key 2020 by logging into the web account using their login credentials. Candidates will be able to view and print the answer key available on the website and check the correct answers to each question. The answer key of CMAT helps candidates in checking their answers with the correct answer choice thus estimating their scores. It also aids in estimating their admission chances to respective institutions.
Along with the CMAT 2020 answer key, candidates are allowed to file objection, for any disputable answer/response. However, the objections will not be considered without a proper reference document. File size should be less than 1 MB and in .jpg, .png, .pdf format only. The processing charge for filing an objection is Rs. 1000 per question. The same can be paid via debit card/credit card/net banking.
NTA (National Testing Agency) will declare CMAT 2020 result on February 3, 2020. Candidates have to login in order to check the CMAT 2020 result and download the scorecard. The scorecard is made available in the form of merit rank which indicates the candidate's Roll number, Rank and the obtained Score; can be viewed and downloaded by entering the login credentials (ID and Password) already created while registering for the exam. The CMAT result includes candidates’ section-wise and overall secured scores, percentile and All India Rank. NTA has not released the merit list yet.
Post announcement of the result, the CMAT 2020 participating institutes will declare their respective cutoff scores, considering the overall result. Only the qualified candidates are eligible to participate in further selection rounds. The selection procedure comprises a Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) or Written Ability Test (WAT). After the completion of selection procedure candidates will be shortlisted for the final admission to all management courses.
National Testing Agency will not release CMAT 2020 cutoff to shortlist candidates for the selection procedure; however, the affiliated institutes will declare their respective cutoff after the result gets officially announced. The cutoff of CMAT 2020 is the minimum score or percentile candidates need to obtain for attaining admission into MBA and PGDM programmes offered by management institutes across India. The factors that will determine the CMAT 2020 cutoff are-
National Testing Agency, the new CMAT administering authority will conduct the selection procedure. As per the officials, the participating institutes will conduct their respective selection procedures for the candidates who would obtain the cutoff scores. The CMAT 2020 selection procedure varies within institutes. The selection procedure of CMAT 2020 mostly comprises of GD (Group Discussion), PI (Personal Interview) or WAT (Written Ability Test).

Steps to fill CMAT 2020 Registration Form
Step 1- Register for CMAT 2020
Candidate must first register themselves for CMAT 2020 and should keep a note of the application number generated.
They must create a password and choosing the security question in case they forget the password in the future, it would help them to recover it, further it will be required to fill in all the details in the form appropriately.
After submitting the personal details, the CMAT 2020 registration number will be generated.
Log in again with the CMAT logging in with the application number and password.
Step 2- Fill the application form
After log in, candidates will be directed towards page of application form which requires following details-

PwD more than 40%- yes/no
Types of disability- (options would be provided)

Step 3 - Enter the Security code-
After completion of the qualification details, students need to enter the security code that they will be needing to type the same text as provided.
After filling the security code click on submit.
Step 4- Preview the information mentioned in registration form of CMAT 2020
After submitting the application form of CMAT 2020, students will get to review the page.
Candidates must verify all the information in CMAT registration form and edit it if they have made any error. After verifying each section students will be required to mark in “parameters checklist to be verified.”
Once the information is verified click on “I agree” in the declaration section. Lastly, click on final submit.
Step 5 - Upload the documents
In this step, students are required to upload the scanned passport size photograph and signature as per the format and size mentioned in the CMAT registration form 2020
Passport size photograph must be clear and legible with JPG/JPEG format between 10 kb–200 kb
Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format between 4 kb–30 kb
Documents can be uploaded the documents in black and white or coloured form.
After uploading documents fill the security pin and then click on ‘upload.’
Students would be directed to the next page to preview the documents uploaded.
It will involve the options to edit the application form and edit uploaded documents. Once the information is confirmed click on ‘pay examination fee rs. XXX/-’
