The cutoff of XAT 2020 will consist of the minimum marks that the candidates will be required to secure to have higher chances of being selected by XLRI and the other participating institutes. The cutoff will be released after the result is announced by the authorities. Various factors related to the examination such as difficulty level, number of test takers and more will be taken into account while preparing the cutoff.
After the result and cutoff is announced, the selection procedure of XAT 2020 will commence. The selection procedure will consist of group discussion or essay writing and personal interview rounds. Since there is no common admission procedure, the participating institutes will follow their own selection procedure and will independently decide how to use the XAT scores for admissions. Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidates in XAT 2020, group discussion, personal interview, essay writing, past academic scores, work experience (if any) and some other factors that may also be considered such as achievements, gender diversity and more.

The participating institutes including XLRI Jamshedpur will be announcing the shortlisted candidates for the future selection process after the result is declared.
As per the marking scheme, it is possible to secure a negative score however, it is not possible to secure a negative percentile. In the XAT scorecard, the scaled score based on the normalisation process and the percentile will be given. Both scaled scores and percentiles will be in positive.
No, it is not possible. The authorities do not given a complete 100 percentile to the candidates. Maximum 99.9+ percentile is scorable in the examination. This is due to the reason that the percentile calculation system of XAT is slightly different, as per XAT officials. Therefore, it does not allow the candidate with the highest score to secure a full 100 percentile.
