XAT 2017 Student Reactions
Namrata: It’s the first time that I am writing XAT. I hope I will score good marks as the paper may be easier than CAT.
Rashi: I am confident about my preparation and I aim to attempt maximum number of questions out of 72 with 100 per cent accuracy. I will ensure that I do not have to leave out any question apart from 12 as there will be negative marking for not attempting questions as well.
Arnav: I am confident about LR and DI section, but not sure about GK questions though I have gone through static GK and current affairs of last one year.
Rachit: I took CAT 2016 and now am appearing for XAT. I have a good hold on English and Quant section, but not too sure about LR/DI section.
Anant: I forgot to get a second copy of my admit card. I am scared about it! I hope the authorities don’t penalise me for that as I have really prepared hard for the test and don’t want such situations to affect my performance.
XAT 2017 Students Reactions- Post Exam
Rajat -It was very good. It was a moderate paper. Essay topic was “Globalisation and jingoism co-exist.” GK you can do very quickly. If you know the answer then you can quickly mark it and for essay I did not know much about the topics and it went above my head. So I did not think of spending too much time on it. The questions were tricky. I do not have any expectations. I was able to complete the paper
Dhruv - I had given the exam in the past and I think it was better than the last time. It was a decently set paper, sections were easily balanced. There were no wrong questions. Not much impact on losing onto time since I had a strategy in mind about how to go about the number of unattempted questions. I gave IIFT, CAT and all possible exam. IIFT was difficult, CAT again was unpredictable. My essay topic was “Globalisation and jingoism co-exist.” I was able to relate to the topic so I gave my perspective.
Aisha- Paper was better, changes in number of questions did not impact time management, essay topic was a bit difficult.
