XAT 2015, has been concluded at 1:30 pm on Sunday, January 4, with no surprise element reported by the test takers. The second biggest MBA entrance exam, in which about 90,000 candidates appeared at 49 test centres across India, followed the prescribed structure and was moderate to tough in overall difficulty level.

XAT 2015- Duration: 3 hours
Overall Difficulty Level: Moderate to Tough
As per the exam pattern, the 3-hour-long test was divided in two papers – Paper 1, which was multiple choice objective type test, and Paper 2, which was partly objective and partly subjective. Although there was no major change faced by the students in XAT 2015. The exam was slightly tougher than recently held big entrance exams like CAT. According to test-takers, XAT 2015 was moderate to tough in difficulty level.

Paper 1 (Duration: 2 hours and 20 minutes)
Difficulty Level: Moderate to Tough
Easy Reasoning, Moderate Decision Making and English, Tough Quant
Paper 1 contained multiple choice objective type questions, containing three sections – Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning and Decision Making. The overall difficulty level of this paper was reported to be moderate to tough.

Paper 2 (Duration: 40 minutes)
Difficulty Level: Easy to ModerateModerate General Awareness and Easy Essay Writing
Paper 2, which comprised General Awareness and Essay Writing section, was easy to moderate in difficulty level. The Essay Writing topic was ‘Listening is a Dying Art: we hardly listen to understand, we only listen to refute or reply’. Students found General Awareness easy to moderate. In Essay Writing, students had a lot to write as the topic was unexpectedly easier.

Hii,
CAT is a National level Common Admission Test to get admission in IIM's and Some Business Schools to pursue Post Graduation in Management i,e PGDM/MBA. XAT is also another National level exam Conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM Course. Some Business Schools offers CAT and some other XAT. I suggest you to apply CAT exam because you can get admission in IIM's through CAT but not XAT. If you have written Same exams, and the College accepts both you can apply through only One particular exam Score which is better.

For admission in XLRI PGDM (BM) and PGDM (HRM), there is no minimum percentage of marks in graduation.
However, PGDM in General management requires a bachelor's degree and five years of managerial experience.
Fyi, last date to apply was December 10, 2019.

Total time for exam is 180 mins and it contains Verbal and Logical Ability , Decision Making ,Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and General Knowledge (GK) questions and there is negative marks for very wrong answer i.e 0.25 and also 0.05 marks for very 8 unanswered questions.Below link gives the previous questions with answers ,you can download it.

xat stands for xaviours apptitude test, and there is no minimum marks criteria for appear in xat exam. a candidate need to have a bachelors degree or appearing in final year of bachelor degree program can apply for xat exam. the graduation degree duration should be atleast of 3 years course study in any discipline from a recognized university.
