XAT 2014 Syllabus: XAT 2014 syllabus is a vast component of mathematics, English, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Essay Writing. The XAT 2014 exam will include the sections of Verbal & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative & Data Interpretation. The Part 2 of the XAT 2014 exam will include Essay Writing and General Awareness section.To prepare for XAT 2014 click here
Though XLRI Jamshedpur, the B-School which conducts the XAT exam, has not prescribed any particular XAT 2014 syllabus, but on the basis of the past years’ analysis and trends, we are providing you the common topics.
XAT 2014 Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning Syllabus
This section had 30 questions last year. It included 3 Reading Comprehension passages, the topics of which were a bit abstract. The other questions in the English Usage area were on the following:
Grammar – Articles, propositions etc.
The other questions were on Critical Reasoning. In this, one of the questions was on ‘inductive and deductive logic’.
XAT 2014 Decision Making Syllabus
The Decision Making section had 25 questions last year. The questions appear in the form of caselets. Analytical Reasoning questions are also common in this section. Overall, the question types can be divided into following categories:

This section had 36 questions last year. 24 questions were on Quantitative Ability and 12 questions were on Data Interpretation section. The topics of this section can be listed as follows:

XAT 2014 General Awareness Syllabus
The section of General Awareness was introduced in the XAT exam last year itself. It formed one of the two sections of the Paper 2 of XAT paper along with Essay Writing question. This section had 30 questions out of which 12 were on current affairs and 18 were on static GK. The topics of the questions which were asked last year and which you can expect in XAT 2014 are as follows:

XAT 2014 Essay Writing Syllabus
There is no particular syllabus for Essay Writing. According to previous years’ analysis and trends, the topics are generally abstract in nature. The topic is either a common phrase or an idiom with a philosophical innuendo in it. Very rare do XAT ask a direct or opinion seeking topic. However, you must be prepared for all sorts of topics. The duration for the Essay Writing question is 20 minutes. You must practice writing time bound essays.

Xat is a national level entrance exam. Through xat you can get admission in best business schools of india like xlri jamshedpur, xmb bhubneshwar and ximb banglore.
You can sum up the marks of all the 6 subjects and than you can find out the percentage or the cgpa whatever the case may be and then you can add the information in the form.
While filling the form candidates will be required to enter their program details which they would like to opt for. Aspirants can choose from the following courses:
Human Resource Management
General Management Programme (A minimum of 56 months of work experience is compulsory as on March 31,2020)
Fellow Programme in Management
As the candidate will select the programme, the form will ask to fill
the first preference of campus
for each programme.
So you have to fill the college preference before hand, however there are many other colleges accepting XAT score for whom you do not have to fill the separate forms.

Candidates are short-listed for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the eligible candidates who have a valid entrance exam score and have applied to the programme of LIBA. The GD-PI process will be conducted at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai After the GD-PI round, admission offers are made by LIBA to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Quality of Work Experience among others.
Last date to apply for admission in LIBA is to close on January 10, 2020. To explore admission opportunity in LIBA, Chennai, the candidates need to apply for admission by using and filling up the online application form. LIBA will accept CAT 2019 and XAT 2020 scores, so you can apply with the CAT scores and also XAT scores. Better of the two scores will be considered. The Application fee for admission to PGDM 2020 at LIBA is Rs.1500/- as was last year.
