Data Analysis
This part had two sets of Data Interpretation based on table and pie chart. Each set was followed by five questions. Both sets and questions were easy and was not calculation intensive.
Reasoning – Problem Solving, CodingDecoding and Date, Time and Arrangement
There were 45 questions under this section from topics including one question on Time & Distance, one on Functions and one on Numbers. There were 20 questions based on series and analogies – 10 on Series and 10 on Analogies. There were five odd man out questions.
T.I.M.E. experts mention, “The questions on 'Coding – Decoding' have been split into two parts One set of five questions based on logic of [ (5k+2) / 26 ] and another set of five individual questions. This set of five questions was of easy – moderate difficulty level. The questions on Clocks & Calendar, Arrival & Departure, Blood Relations, Symbols & Notations, seating arrangement were of easymoderate difficulty level.”
This section was of easymoderate level of difficulty. The sectional cutoff is expected to range from 33 to 35 out of 45.

TSICET Analysis 2017 for Mathematical Ability
This section was the toughest in the paper. While Arithmetic Ability questions were on the easier lines, the questions on Algebraical & Geometrical Ability were difficult were tough. While few questions were formula based, a lot of them required conceptual clarity and application.

T.I.M.E. experts have identified erroneous questions in this section. The experts mention, “In the question on rank correlation, if the given data is considered and ranks assigned to them, the answer that we get ( 15/16) is not present in choices.
1.In another question on Mean, the correct answer is 5050 / 67. But only 5050 is given in the option.
2.For the problem from Coordinate Geometry, where the vertices are given and we need to find equation of line parallel to median, the correct answer is 2x+9y11 =0, which is not present in the given options.”
TSICET 2017 Analysis for Communication Ability
The section was a mix of questions from topics like Vocabulary, Statement/Conversation, Grammar and Reading Comprehension. There were six vocabulary questions on SynonymAntonyms, which were moderate to tough in nature. Fill in the blanks questions were on the easier lines.
There were seven questions on Statement/Conversation of moderate to tough level of difficulty. Questions on activepassive conversation was tough. There were three RC passages carrying 15 questions in total. Overall, the questions were of easy to moderate difficulty level.
Experts predict that paper will be a low scoring paper because of the higher difficulty level of Mathematical Ability section and Vocab and Statements Conversations part of the English Section.
TSICET 2017 result will be declared on May 30, 2017. After the declaration of result, participating institutes will announce the cutoffs and counselling process is likely to be held in June.
