TISSNET Result 2018

TISSNET ResultTISSNET Result 2018 - Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will announce the TISSNET 2018 result in the second week of February 2018.  TISSNET result 2018 will be declared in the form of score card. To check the result of TISSNET 2018, candidates have to enter their login credentials. TISS, Mumbai will conduct the TISSNET exam in the first week of January 2018 at 100 exam centres spreading across 39 cities of the country. Based on TISSNET 2018 result, candidates will be shortlisted for the next round of selection, i.e.,  Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (PIT-GD-PI) at the major campuses of TISS. Based on the overall performance of a candidate, the TISS Mumbai will announce TISSNET result 2018 in April.   • Log in with the username and the password provided at the time of registration

  • Enter the Captcha code and click on the 'Login' button.

Details on TISSNET 2018 Result

Following are the details that will appear on a candidate’s result:

  • Candidate's Name

  • Candidate's Roll number

  • Registration number

  • Score/ Marks obtained

  • Qualified/Not qualified

TISSNET exam 2018 will have 100 multiple choice questions. Each question carries one mark. The question paper is divided into three major sections – General Awareness/Current Affairs, English Language and Maths & Logical Reasoning/Analytical & Numerical Ability. There is no negative marking in the exam. The total duration of TISSNET 2018 is 1 hour 40 minutes (100 minutes).

 

What After TISSNET Result 2018?

  • After the declaration of TISSNET 2018 result, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of TISSNET 2017 Cutoff.

  • Based on the scores in TISSNET 2018, candidates will be called for the next round of the selection process Pre-Interview Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (PIT-GD-PI).

  • This round will be held at TISS Mumbai, Hyderabad and Guwahati campuses.

TISSNET 2018 Final Result

Overall performance of a candidate decides his/her selection for admission at TISS. The final result of TISSNET 2018 which is a list of students selected for admission will be announced in April 2018. And the commencement of the programme will happen in June 2018.

 

For preparing the final merit list of TISSNET 2018, following parameters will be assigned:

Candidates who have cleared National Common Written Test (NET) will be called for further selection rounds, which consist of Pre Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). Except Mumbai Social Work programmes, all other programmes will have a written exam. The format of the exam will be descriptive where there will be a set of questions from given case study focusing mainly on social, socio-economic, socio-political issues at the micro as well as macro level. Besides, for some programmes, the written exam will include logical analysis & reasoning with figure etc. and simple mathematics.

 

What will be done in case of a TISSNET Result Tie?

In case of a tie in TISSNET 2018 results, the following procedures will be followed:

  • Personal Interview (PI) marks will be compared. The candidate with the higher marks will be considered for next steps.

  • In case of a tie in Personal Interview (PI) marks, Pre Interview Test (PIT) marks of the two candidates will be compared.

  • In case of equal Pre Interview Test (PIT) marks, TISSNET 2017 marks will be considered.

  • If the TISSNET 2017 score of any two candidates are same as well, then the higher age limit candidate will be given preference.

TISSNET Cutoff 2018

The cutoff marks are the minimum marks to qualify the exam. For TISSNET, the cutoff marks are 35% for SC/ST and 45% for other categories.

TISSNET 2017 - Preparation of Wait List

  • Candidates getting admission to the programme of their first preference will not be on the wait lists for other preferred programmes.

  • Candidates, who got selected in a programme lower in the order of preferences will be retained in the wait list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that programme are filled.

  • Candidates taking admission into any of the programme which is their second preference will be retained in the wait list of the first preference. Candidates getting admission to any programme which is their third preference will be retained in the wait list of their first and second preference.

  • In case, the candidates qualify in 2 programmes at the same time at the time of wait list preparation, the higher preference will be prevailed. Institute will offer admission only to the higher preference.

  • When candidates who have already taken admission in a programme as per the first merit list is subsequently offered the higher preference when the wait list is activated, they will be moved into the programme of higher preference and will be informed.
