Before going through the section wise analysis of TISSNET 2016, let us have a look at the overall exam pattern and structure.
The TISSNET had 3 sections: General Awareness, Logical Reasoning-Quantitative aptitude-Data Interpretation, and Verbal ability. The number of questions and marks were as follows:

The overall time for answering the test was 100 minutes. There was no negative marking. There was no sectional time limit and the candidates could move freely across the sections within the time limit. TISS NET has traditionally not had any sectional cutoffs, the trend is expected to continue.
We expect the overall cutoff for the core HRM program to be in the range of 73-76 marks.
Math and Logical reasoning
The break-up of this section varied, with some students getting 7 questions on Logical reasoning, 12 questions on Quantitative aptitude and 11 questions on Data Interpretation, whereas some students got 15 questions in Logical reasoning, 8 questions in Quantitative aptitude and 7 questions in DI.
One such distribution of the questions in the QA-LR-DI area was as follows:
No of Questions

Simple Interest/Compound Interest
The QA-LR-DI section was easy and even an average student could have solved at least 20 of the given 30 questions.
Around 3-5 questions were ambiguous/incomplete/wrong and may have led to one not being able to attempt all 30 questions correctly:
The questions in the English Proficiency area were from the following areas:

Odd man out
The questions in the English Proficiency section were of a easy-moderate level of difficulty and maintaining high accuracy would have been easy.
The questions related to General Awareness were from History (India and World), Science, Current Affairs,Social awareness etc. The questions covered areas such as –
No. of Questions
