SNAP 2022

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common aptitude test that is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University every year for admission to MBA/PGDM courses offered by its affiliated institutes. SNAP 2022 is mandatory for all candidates who want to pursue postgraduate management programme at SNAP institutes.

SNAP 2022 is a computer-based test to shortlist the most suitable candidates for further admission process conducted by each of SIU affiliated institutes.

Candidates who wish to appear for the MBA entrance examination must perform the following actions.

• They need to first register for the SNAP 2022 test

• Pay the registration fee for SNAP

• Register for her/his choice of programme(s) offered by any institute of SIU

• Pay the registration fee separately for each programme

SNAP Test 2022: Exam highlights

SNAP 2022 is a speed test for screening suitable candidates for further rounds of the admission process. So shortlisted candidates for the programme they have applied to will have to undergo General Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI), and Writing Ability Test (WAT).

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) declared the SNAP 2022 result on January 10, 2023. The result has been updated on the official website of SNAP 2022. Candidates can check it by visiting the website and downloading the scorecard, using the SNAP login details such as ID and password.

Candidates who appeared in the exam can download SNAP 2022 results by following the steps given below.

• Use a laptop or desktop computer to access the SNAP 2022 result

• Visit the official website of SNAP 2022

• Click on the “scorecard download - SNAP 2022”

• Enter your SNAP ID and password and click the login button

SNAP cutoff 2022

Based on the SNAP 2022 percentile, each of the SIU affiliated institutes will issue a cut off for shortlisting candidates for further rounds of the admission process. According to past trends, the SIBM Pune cutoff 2022 is expected to be around the 98.5 percentile while the SIBM Bangalore cutoff will likely go around the 90 percentile.

Some SNAP colleges like SIMS Pune, SCIT Pune, SSMC Bangalore, and SIMC Pune release their cutoff on the basis of SNAP percentile ranging from 70 – 80. The cut off will be released category-wise and for each program separately.

SNAP 2022 cutoff is released based on the following factors.

• Number of candidates appear for the SNAP exam

• The difficulty level of SNAP 2022

• Number of candidates who qualified in SNAP exam

• Number of seats available in each SNAP college

SNAP score is given only 50% weightage for the preparation of the final merit list for admission. So, students seeking admission to MBA/PGDM courses of SIU-affiliated institutes not only need to score well in the SNAP exam but also perform better in the next rounds of the admission process such as GE -PI-WAT.

SNAP 2022 Selection process

The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in all stages which include the SNAP exam, Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interaction (PI). This process is common for all SNAP colleges. Admission will be offered on the basis of SNAP scores, Personal Interviews, Group Exercise, and Writing Ability Test. In addition to that in the SNAP selection, candidates’ profile which includes academic records, work experience, etc., is also taken into account for final admission.

SNAP 2022: Final merit and waitlist

The final merit list of candidates selected for admission will be issued by each of the SIU affiliated institutes. The SNAP final merit list and wait list will be prepared on the basis of composite scores of the SNAP exam 2022, GE-PI-WAT. SNAP exam performance will have the highest weightage followed by the Personal Interview (PI) which will get a weightage of 30 percent. Both Group Exercise and Written Ability Test get equal weightage.

Weightage structure for each round of the admission process

Each institute of SUI will release the category-wise cutoff for the merit list and wait for list on their official website. The waitlist will be released only if there are vacant seats available. It is important to know that this admission is provisional and will be confirmed only when a candidate pays the fee on or before the deadline and meets the eligibility conditions of the particular program they have applied for.

SNAP 2022: Eligibility Criteria

SIU determines SNAP 2022 Eligibility, however, the affiliated institutes have the eligibility criteria for each course they offer. Candidates must check with the respective college to know the eligibility criteria for the course they want to do. Below are some common eligibility criteria for each program.

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalents from a recognized university with 50% or 45% in the case of SC/ST candidates

• There is no age bar which means candidates of any age can apply and appear for the test as many times as they wish

• Candidates having foreign degrees can also apply provided they have the equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities

• Final-year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for SNAP 2022

SNAP 2022: Registration process

The SNAP 2022 registration process consists of two stages - first, SNAP 2022 registration, and the second, the choice of program registration. Candidates can complete both stages of the registration process through the same portal of SNAP 2022.

• Enter necessary details such as name, date of birth, category, and test city preference, upload documents, photo

• The application fee can be paid either online or through a demand draft

• To choose a program and college, proceed to the online registration form.

Note: candidates who want to apply for more programs than one, have to pay the registration fees for each program separately.

SNAP 2022 entrance exam and program registration fee

Candidates who want to apply for SNAP 2022 have to pay a refundable SNAP registration fee of INR 1950/- per test. Also, they have to pay a program registration fee of INR 1000/ for each program. For example, if a candidate chooses two programs for admission, he/she has to pay INR 2000/.

SNAP 2022 admit card

SIU issued the SNAP 2022 admit card and notified the same through the official website. Candidates can download their SNAP 2022 admit card, using their SNAP ID and password.

SNAP 2022 exam pattern

SNAP 2022 is a Computer Based Test that comprises 60 questions from three sections General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

SNAP exam pattern is much like other MBA entrance exams. The SNAP 2022 exam pattern given in the SNAP information brochure includes detailed information about the exam such as the number of questions to be asked, marks for each question, total time duration for the test, total marks, and the number of sections. SNAP 2022 is an objective test. Each question has 4 options, and candidates need to choose the most appropriate one. Also, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

A candidate can take up to two SNAP 2022 exams. In such cases, the higher score achieved by a candidate will be used for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization for SNAP 2022.
