RMAT 2019 – All India Management Association (AIMA) in association with Aligarh Muslim University (AIU) will conduct the Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT 2019) in offline (paper-pencil) mode for admission to Ph.D in Business Administration programme on June 2, 2019. RMAT 2019 exam would open the doors for budding faculty and working managers as the course is aimed at providing formal training. RMAT is a management entrance exam conducted for admission to Ph.D programme. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria of RMAT 2019 in order to apply for the exam -
Master’s Degree in Management or allied subjects from Commerce, Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. or a PGDM/PGDITM approved by AICTE with not less than 55 percent marks or equivalent grade OR Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification which are considered equivalent to Master Degree with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 50 percent marks in Graduation.
Minimum 5 years post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience as full-time Faculty in a Management Institute approved by AICTE or affiliated to a University.
The application form of RMAT 2019 is available online till May 25, 2019. Candidates can either choose to fill the form online or take the print of the form, fill it and send it to the conducting body along with the DD ( in favour of "All India Management Association" payable at New Delhi) of application fee.
To pay the application fee online, candidates can use credit/debit card or net banking.
Application Fee: Candidates need to pay Rs. 1500 as application fee while applying for RMAT 2019. The link to register for the exam is available online on the official website.
Candidates need to send the duly completed Print Version of Online Application Form having Auto Generated Registration No. to " Manager (PhD Programme), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003".
The Registration Process will be completed only on receipt of Print Version of Online Application Form together with all relevant attachments.
The exam authority will release the RMAT Admit Card 2019 on May 28, 2019 (3 PM onwards) only for those candidates whose application form along with testimonials will be reached to the Manager (PhD Programme), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 by the pre-mentioned deadline.
Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to write the exam. It’s a must-have document. Also, the test takers need to carry a photo id proof (driving license, voter id, aadhaar id, PAN card, etc.) on the exam day to the test centre.
It will be an offline test (paper-pencil based) of 90 minutes (1.5 hours). The question paper will have only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The test paper will broadly divided into two sections – Basics of Management and Research Fundamentals & Attitude.
There will be no negative marking for a wrong answer.
To become eligible for the next round of the selection process i.e. Interview, the candidate has to score at least 50 per cent marks in the test.

Functions of managers in business organizations; Managerial skills and levels; Meaning Power and authority; Functions of human resource managers; Fundamentals of human resource management- recruitment, selection, training, and appraisal;
Functions of marketing managers; Concepts and components of the marketing mix;
Functions of finance managers; Indian financial systems; Basic accounting concepts; Balance sheet and its components; Globalization of business; Functions of operations managers; Statistical quality control techniques; Inventory costs and simple models; Elements of business environment.
Section B – Research Fundamentals and Aptitude
Decisional and research problems; Steps in research; Primary and secondary data; Types and properties of the four types of scales used for data collection; Population and sample; Types of sampling methods; Methods of data collection; Data interpretation; Types of variables; Logical reasoning; Research and teaching aptitude; Research ethics; Overview of higher education system in India.
Candidates who wish to apply for the exam can solve the RMAT Sample Paper of previous years to prepare for the exam. The same is available on the official website of the exam. Solving the sample paper of RMAT will allow the aspirants to know the types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the test, etc.
AIMA will release the result of RMAT 2019 after few days of the exam. The result will be available on the official website of the exam. Candidates who appear for the test will need to login to the website with their registered id and password to download the result. The test takers may also get a notification on their email id or contact number related to the RMAT result.
The test takers are required to report to the allotted test centre at least 45 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test.
No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre 15 minutes after the commencement of the test. No extra time will be granted for completing the test.
Candidates have to carry their Admit Card, Ball Point Pen, HB Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener. The test room will be opened about 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
The candidates are to be seated at the allotted place where their Admit Card will be verified during the test. One part of Admit Card will be given to the candidate as proof of his/her having appeared in the test. Candidates need to ensure that this is duly signed by them and the test invigilator.
