NPAT BBA 2020 - Online Home Proctoring Instructions: Amid COVID 19 outbreak, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) conducted NPAT BBA 2020 in online (home proctoring) mode. The NPAT BBA 2020 was postponed on June 26, 27 and 28. Earlier it was scheduled to be held on May 18 and May 22. With exams conducted in remote proctoring mode many students might be confused about the authenticity of the examination. In this regard, authorities have released the exam day guidelines such as instructions, IT infrastructure requirement to take the examination, do’s and don’ts and candidate instructions. NPAT BBA 2020 will be proctored using Artificial Intelligence as well as Human proctor. NPAT BBA 2020 - Instructions
Students must know that NMIMS has zero tolerance policy for unethical behaviour. Aspirants are advised to take examination with utmost solemnity and must ensure to follow the below mentioned instructions strictly.
As per the duration of the exam, students must be seated in front of the desktop/laptop all the time.
The lightning should be proper in the room and face the candidate.
Dress code is strictly smart casuals.
There should be no one present in the room except for the candidate.
Student must have the IT infrastructure to undertake the examination especially the microphone/webcam.
Aspirants must take the mock test of NPAT BBA 2020 compulsorily as it will help candidates to acquaint with the actual exam environment.
Guidelines to be followed during examination
Aspirants will not be permitted to open other application windows other than test window. If done, violations will be recorded by the NPAT testing system.
Students must note that their image/video will be captured for monitoring purposes on near real time by the AI and Human proctor.
Candidates are advised not to leave their seat and move around during the exam.
Aspirants are encouraged to use the virtual notepad and calculator. Students can use 2 sheets (4 pages back and front).
Students will be strictly not allowed to use any other device while giving the exam.
In case, the aspirant tries to clock the camera then the examination will be auto submitted and the test will not be accessible thereafter.
In case of any internet failure, the management reserves the right to extend the time limit.
Students must use the same laptop/desktop for all examination process.

IT Infrastructure Requirements
Students must note the important prerequisites to take an online exam for NPAT BBA 2020
Candidates will have to take Internet Based Assessment (IBS). Assessment has to be taken through IBS launcher. Aspirants are advised to use laptop/desktop.
Windows 7,8,10 and Ubuntu Linux (14.1 & 16) version
Intel Core i3 or above
Minimum 100 MB of free space
Zoom level must be 100%
Windows 7 and 8: All versions of Chrome and internet explorer (Firefox version 46-56 is not supported)
Ubuntu 14.1 and 16: All versions of Chrome Firefox and internet explorer are supported
iOS OS and iOS/Android devices are not supported.
Uninterrupted electric supply
Ensure laptop is connected to charger so that it doesn't run out of batter in case of power cut

Before the start of exam - Things to do
In case of minor, it is assumed that the parents consent is taken before undertaking online NPAT BBA 2020 examination.
Maintain decorum as one would maintain at the exam centre
Check for the appropriate location to appear for exam. Check for following things:
Comfortable seating position
Adequate lightening facing the candidate and away from camera
Students must keep 2 pages ready to carry nay rough work. (separate instructions will be provided shortly)
Check for system configuration to be as per the above mentioned desktop/laptop details
Students must check that they have correct and valid login ID and password
Check for the proper working of:
Carefully read through the candidate instructions
Aspirants must turnoff any notifications, background applications running on the device
Phones can be used to create hotspot, however it must be on silent mode. (Students are recommended to use Wifi or LAN based internet. Phone hotspot should be last resort)
Use the keyboard and mouse instead of touch feature.
Before the start of exam - Things not to do
Aspirants must not change the desktop/laptop that is already tested at the time of giving mock test
No one except the candidate must be present in the room.
Students must not move away from the webcam or desktop range that they are not visible to proctor
Aspirants must not have the light source behind themselves or on such an angle that it cast a shadow on face of the candidate
Students must not have any hard and soft copy of study materials.
Aspirants must not use the mobile phone during the examination otherwise the candidature will be disqualified.
During the examination - Things to do
Students must accept the terms and conditions before starting the examination.
Understand the instructions properly for smooth functioning
Students must be focused on the activity displayed on the screen tp solve questions
Aspirants must keep the track of the time
Candidates must look for any onscreen messaged and respond quickly.

Click on tab submit ‘submit’ on completion of test
During the examination - Things not to do
At the time of examinations, students must:
Not cover the webcam till the test is submitted
Not talk to anybody till the exam is over
Not let anyone else be present in the room
Not use the mobile phone during the course of examination.
Not share the screen with anybody
Not take the screenshot or photos of the questions
Not use any unfair means - suspicious malpractice will lead to disqualification
Not use any other application. In case done, exam will be auto submitted
Not hit the ‘X’ button on right corner of the screen
Not leave the computer/examination ahead of allotted time.
Not move around
Post Exam - Things to do
Click on the tab ‘submit’ after students have reviewed their responses.
Press ‘Esc+right shift’ to exit the launcher
Restart the computer to reverse all temporary system changes made for the exam
Post exam - Things not to do
Do not try to retake the test
Do not approach the help desk for a result or score.
What are the steps for logging in?
Step 1 - Access the assessment link on Chrome browser (part of email will be received by the candidates)
Step 2 - Screen will display the login window
Note - Students are advised to check the connectivity 30 minutes prior to the commencement of examination
Step 3 - Enter the login credentials sent on registered email ID and click on the tab login
Step 4 - Assessment tab will appear. Click on ‘online assessment’ tab
Step 5 - Select ‘Current’ tab and click on ‘launch’
Step 6 - Enable Pop-ups if prompted
Step 7 - Screen will now display Camera Check and Candidate Consent
Step 8 - ‘Allow’ the browser to access device camera to capture images and video
Note - face should not be covered with any object like sunglasses. Students must look straight into the camera and capture 5 photos for self registration.
Step 9 - Check for the photo captured on the photo window
Step 10 - Read the undertaking carefully.
Select the check box to each Undertaking and provide consent
Note - image captured will not be shared with any third party
Step 11 - Click on tab ‘proceed to Assessment’ and unique key is displayed. Copy the unique key as it is applicable only for 10 minutes.
Step 12 - After clicking on OS icon download the launcher compatible for operating system used by the candidate
Step 13 - Extract the downloaded file and start the IBA launcher
Step 14 - Enter the unique key generated above, select the browser and select the check box. Click on the tab ‘launch’ to begin the test.
Step 15 - Read the instructions displayed on the screen.
Step 16 - Select on tab ‘I have read and understood the instructions and agree to adhere to them’
Step 17 - Click on the tab ‘I am ready to begin’
How to use the assessment console?
Question and answer choices will appear on the assessment console during the test. Students must questions on the console. It will contain the following areas:
In the question area students must click on downward arrow to move down and upward arrow to move up without scrolling.
The question palette will displayed on the right side of the screen displaying the status of each question as:
Answered - refers to the answers given by the candidate
Not answered - Question has not been attempted
Not visited - Question is not visited
Marked for review - it indicates that student would like to review the question later.
Answered and marked for review - It indicates that student have answered the question but would review it later
To minimize the question palette click on ‘>’ arrow to have more space and click on ‘<’ arrow to have the question palette again.
This section displays the candidate’s photo, name and exam ID.
Name of the sections will be displayed on the top bar of the screen. Students can select the section tab they want to view and the tab will be highlighted.
Students can complete the section earlier or later for the respective section, The total allotted time of exam is fixed.
Aspirants will have to attempt the paper in sequential order only that is it should be 1,2,3,4,5 order only.
Candidates must read all the terms and conditions mentioned before beginning with the test. Upon confirmation, Student will land on question 1 of section 1.
Step 1 - Click on the question number on the question palette to view the question
Step 2 - Click on tab ‘save and next’ after the answering on current question
Step 3 - Go the next question
Note - Students can re visit the questions that are marked for review. Questions cannot be revisited on completion of the section.
While attempting the questions student will have following options:
Students can choose any question from the palette or the respective section.
As the test will be multiple choice questions student will have to opt for one correct option and save the answer by clicking on ‘save and next’ or ‘mark for review’
In case the student does not revisit the question that is marked for review, then the response earlier marked will be considered final.
Other important instructions:
In case of any power cut/ loss of internet or laptop/desktop malfunctions students must
Check for internet connectivity and power cable
Once the connection is restored, login again. Exam will resume from the point where it stopped
Note - Students must ensure to login within 10 minutes to avoid any wastage of time
If students will be having any feedback or suggestion, they can do so after the test is completed.
Aspirants must note that it will be a remote proctored test and all the actions will be monitored by artificial intelligence/ machine learning technologies.

To login for the online proctoring mock exam of NMIMS NPAT BBA you have to access the accessement link on your chrome.
The link will be provided to you through an email. So open the email you recieved and click on the link and. Open it in chrome. Then a login page will appear. Login with your username and password.

No, the NPAT mock test is to be held on 14th May 2020 & 16th May 2020 from 10AM to 2PM.
The NPAT B.B.A exam will be held on Monday 18th May 2020 & Friday, 22nd May’2020.

No NPAT BBA 2020 exam will not be conducted today. It is scheduled to be held on May 18 and May 22 through online remote proctoring mode. Those who were registered to appear on May 9 they have to appear on May 18 and those who were registered to appear on May 10 they will have to appear on May 22.
