NMAT Exam Pattern 2018 - The exam pattern of NMAT 2018 is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Before appearing for the test, the aspirants should know about the NMAT exam pattern 2018 to familiarise themselves with the type of questions, marking scheme, time duration, the total number of questions, etc. The NMAT by GMAC exam window has started from October 4, 2018, and the exam will end on December 17, 2018. It is a computer-based test of 120 minutes duration carrying 120 objective type multiple choice questions across three sections. Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. No negative marking is there for the wrong attempts. Also, no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
Duration: NMAT 2018 is a test of time. Each section is time-bound and the test must be completed by the candidate within two hours. Test takers will not be able to move to and from between sections but they can decide the order in which they want to attempt the questions within the section.
Syllabus: There is no official syllabus released by GMAC for NMAT. However, based on past years’ exam analysis and expert inputs, there are certain expected topics and areas which are important to prepare. NMAT by GMAC syllabus topics like verbal ability, data analysis & sufficiency, mathematical skills, intelligence & critical reasoning.

Key Points about NMAT Exam Pattern 2018

Other Highlights of NMAT Exam Pattern 2018
Prior to the start of the test, test-takers will get two minutes to see and agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement, a 10-minute tutorial and a three-minute period for section selection and sequencing.
Test takers need to answer the questions of each section within the allotted section time. Once the test taker completes a section, or selects to move to the next section or if time runs out, the test taker will not be able to return to that section.
No carryover of time is allowed during NMAT 2018. This means that test takers cannot add the remaining time of one section to other sections. If a test taker completes answering and reviewing a section before the allotted section time expires, the test taker may choose either to revise their answers in the section or move to the next section, but the balance time cannot be added on to the next section’s allotted time.
Candidates have the chance to review their answers one last time before final submission of the answers. Once submitted, the answers cannot be changed.
The registration for NMAT by GMAC 2018 started from July 3 and ended on October 3, 2018. However, the late registration window was open until October 14. Aspirants had to fill the NMAT online application form and download the hall ticket of NMAT in order to appear for the exam between October 4 to December 17, 2018. The application fee for NMAT 2018 has been increased to Rs. 2000 plus taxes (for early registration).
The NMAT by GMAC exam centres are available in 48 cities in India as well as abroad. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) will declare the result of NMAT 2018 in the third week of January 2019. Candidates taking the test in initial windows or initial days will be able to check their NMAT exam scores after four to five weeks of their attempt. They will have to log in to their NMAT with their user id and password to download the scorecard.
