NITIE Mumbai Admission 2019 - National Institute of Industrial Engineering, better known as NITIE Mumbai was established as 'National Institute of Training in Industrial Engineering' by the Government of India in 1963. The institute is recognized as one of the 15 Centres of Excellence by the Ministry of HRD and is renowned as a top B-school for operations and supply chain management. After getting shortlisted on the basis of CAT score, the selection process of NITIE Mumbai will take place in the form of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who have filled the NITIE Mumbai application form and satisfy the minimum eligibility shall only be invited for GD and PI.
Indian candidates are shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview process based on valid CAT scores. International candidates are shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview process based on GMAT scores, IELTS/ TOEFL (applicable for foreign candidates) and 60 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. Shortlisted candidates are called to the institute campus for the GD and PI process.
A final merit list based on a composite score which takes into account the candidate’s academic records, CAT score, relevant work experience (if any) and performance in the GD and PI process will be generated. The names on this list will be eligible for NITIE Mumbai admission 2019 for PGDIM/PGDISEM.
The institute offers reservations for the following categories:
1. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD candidates - As per the Government of India rules, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD candidates are given certain reservation. Certificates (in Original) in support of OBC(Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD, if applicable are to be produced at the time of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) process.
2. Sponsored Candidates - 15% seats are available for sponsored candidates in PGDISEM. Candidates must be from a reputed Industrial Organization/Academic Institution and must have an aggregate of 60% in Bachelor Engineering/Technology, with two years of full time work experience as on last date of submission of application, i.e. April 01, 2019. CAT score is not required; however, they are required to attend a written test and interview to be conducted at the institute.
Those applying for PGDISEM program under "Sponsored" category have to download the sponsorship form, get it certified from the employer and bring at the time of GD and PI along with other documents.
Sponsored candidate must produce certificates from current and previous employer to support work experience.
3. International candidates - 15 percent of the approved intake (in supernumerary quota) will be available for international students in the PGDIM and PGDISEM programmes. Candidates should have full time Engineering/Technology graduation in any discipline with aggregate 60 percent marks and a valid GMAT score.
Foreign candidates must have a valid TOEFL score or IELTS score, less than two years old. At the time of application, candidates will also have to submit a SOP (Statement of purpose) and two LORs (Letters of recommendations) along with GMAT score and TOEFL / IELTS score.
Final year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they qualify the above criteria for examinations appeared till date. Students appearing for final year examinations in 2019 must submit their result latest by September 30, 2019. Their admission will stand cancelled in case they fail to meet the qualifying requirements.
The following conditions must be satisfied to become eligible as an International candidate:
Candidate should possess a valid passport or travel document of residing outside India and NOT in a position to take up the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management at various centres in India.
Candidate is expected to be a resident outside India for a period of 18 months or more during preceding two years, and be outside India during the CAT examination window.

* SC/ST candidates, whose annual family income is less than Rs 4.5 lakhs, are exempted from payment of academic charges but such candidates shall have to pay all other charges and deposits.

The B-School offers two years full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM).
Candidates seeking to get admission in NITIE Mumbai for the academic year 2019-21 had to duly fill the application form available on the NITIE official website (nitie.edu). The application process is common to both PGDIM/PGDISEM programme. CAT score should be entered immediately after the CAT result is announced. This needs to be done before the closure of online portal. Candidate can apply for more than one programme while filling the application of NITIE. They can apply through online mode only by registering themselves and submitting the requisite application fee.
While filling the application for NITIE admission, candidates will also be asked to enter undergraduate marks semester wise. Aggregate marks will be calculated automatically by taking the average of all semesters. The registration form will not be submitted without entering CAT score and payment details.
Application Fee for NITIE Mumbai 2019 - Application Fee for each programme is Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates) for applicants from India and SAARC countries and USD 50 for International students, plus bank charges as applicable. This fee can be paid through online payment gateway only.
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria as per NITIE Mumbai admission 2019. To be eligible, it is mandatory to have a full-time Engineering/Technology degree in any branch from a recognized university with aggregate 60 per cent marks for General candidates, and 55 per cent for SC/ST/PwD candidates. It is also a must for all candidates to have a valid CAT score. Applicants should take the Common Admission Test 2018 conducted by the IIMs in order to apply for the programmes in 2019.
