MICAT II conducted on February 12, 2017 was tougher than MICAT I held on December 11, 2016. According to the experts, General Awareness and Quantitative Ability sections were tougher than the rest. The overall difficulty level can be termed from easy to moderate. The exam was conducted on computer based mode across 27 cities in India. No technical glitches were reported for the exam. MICAT Analyis 2017 - Descriptive Test
This section tested the analytical and writing ability along with the creative quotient of the candidates. The first three questions were on the topic ‘Public opinion is vital for policy making’. In the first question, candidates had to write three points in favour of the topic and in the second question, they had to write three points against the topic. The third question was to write 200 words in either in favour or against the topic. It was specifically mentioned in the instructions that the stance could not be neutral.

The fourth question in the Descriptive Test was to write a story by connecting various images given. The pictures were of traffic jam, a mother and daughter in the sea playing with each other, a long-winding circular staircase and snow-capped mountains.
MICAT Analyis 2017 - Psychometric Test
This was a compulsory section with no negative marking. There was no right or wrong answer. The aim of this section was to get an idea of the candidates’ personality traits. The first 10 questions asked the candidates to select the option closest to their personality. In the next 16 questions, candidates had to select one among two statements closest to their personality. The last ten questions consisted of six statements each. Here, a test taker had to rank the statements according to his or her choice. According to MICA, candidates whose choices reflect leadership skills will have a higher chance of getting shortlisted.
MICAT Analyis 2017 - Logical Reasoning
This section had 30 questions with majority (19 questions) from Verbal Logic. Other topics included Data Sufficiency and Visual Reasoning. Questions on Word Association were on trickier lines. One of the questions on Statement-Assumptions were vague in nature.

This section had majority of the questions from business awareness and the topics included logos, taglines, CEOs, mergers & acquisitions, recent appointments among others. Current affairs questions on national and international events, politics, court judgements, enquiry committees were also asked. No questions were asked from books-authors and history. Some of the questions were asked in match the column format.

MICAT Analyis 2017 - Verbal Ability
This section carried mix of questions from the topics like Vocabulary, Grammar, Jumbled Sentence among others. There was one Reading Comprehension passage which carried five questions. While the vocabulary and grammar questions were tricky, Jumbled Sentence questions were very easy. Following table brings the topics, number of questions and difficulty level of the questions.

MICA Ahmedabad will release MICAT I 2020 application form in online mode in September 2019 with last date being in third week of November 2019.
MICAT is conducted twice in online mode for the various programmes that are offered at the institute.
The fee for MICAT 2020 application form is Rs. 1985 for all the categories.
MICAT II 2020 application form in third week of December 2019. The end date to fill the application form will be last week of January 2020.
