My Graduation Score is 48-49% in BBA Finance. If I score good marks in mat or xat, is there any possibility to get good b school? Please suggest me, Im so confused right now.

Mrityunjay Jha 13th Sep, 2019

First of all, there's no point in dwelling about your past scores, because you cannot change it.

Secondly, if you have decided for once and all , to go ahead with your higher studies, then focus on XAT and MAT, for that matter, since unlike CAT, these exams do not have set any eligibility criteria for appearing in their exams. Your determination need to be strong for this, because this is only what will sail you through all this. Moreover, there are many instances, when people have done extremely well in not just in entrance exams, or business school, even professional career for that matter in  spite of not so good marks in past academics, but does it mean, it all comes easy, absolutely not. You'll have to work hard and focus on what's important right now, that your entrance test, Follow your syllabus, practice previous year papers and sample papers, you can judge yourself, how you're faring, moreover this will also gain your confidence in the time to give exams.

All the best!

Hii..I passed B.Com honours graduation from Calcutta University but my marks will be 45% ,and I am from general cast so can u please help me that, i am aligible for giving the exam like Mat etc.. and want to do MBA or not.

Sachin Roy 9th Sep, 2019

Exams like CAT, SNAP, CMAT, ATMA strongly emphasize on having 50% at graduation level for General Candidates, so you may not be able to apply for these.

However, XAT doesn't require any such specific aggregate at graduation level.

In the case of MAT, the minimum aggregate differs among university, so you can check if there are universities which take admission on the basis on MAT scores, along with its own eligibility criteria which if you fulfill, you can go ahead.

But, you have to do extremely well  in these exams not just  earning a very high percentile but in further processes as well that are conducted during admission procedure.
