MAT Selection Procedure 2019 - The selection procedure of MAT December 2019 will comprise Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and/ or Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds. MAT admit card 2019 for CBT mode is now available from December 11. MAT selection procedure 2019 will take place after the result is declared. The result of MAT December 2019 will be announced tentatively in the last week of December 2019 by the exam conducting body, AIMA. Candidates can view the scorecard on the official website of AIMA using their MAT registration number and roll number. Post that, they will be first shortlisted on the basis of their MAT result or cutoff. The shortlisted students are invited for MAT counselling, or selection rounds, by the institutes in which they have applied for admission. Such students have to follow the selection procedure of MAT 2019 and the cumulative performance at all the selection stages will lead to the final admission. The selection procedure of MAT 2019 goes through the basic three steps. First, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their MAT score and then they are called for the following rounds:

According to the list of MAT participating institutes, there are more than 600 B-schools in the country which accept MAT score for their admission process. Some of them may conduct all the three rounds mentioned above before announcing the final selection and some might conduct only two. The process differs from institute to institute.

Some of the MAT colleges lay more weightage on WAT over GD. Some prefer PI over WAT and GD. The objective of giving preference to WAT over GD is to ensure that all candidates are at the same level and the chances of soft-spoken candidates are not marred.

The final admission list of the institutes is made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the various selection rounds of MAT selection procedure.

When does MAT Selection Procedure start?

MAT 2019 selection procedure for December session will start after the result of the exam is announced and institutes shortlist the candidates on the basis of their MAT score/cutoff. The result of MAT 2019 December will be declared last week of December 2019. Candidates can use their registration number and roll number to download the result from the official website of AIMA.

MAT is conducted by AIMA four times a year - February, May, September and December. The national level management entrance test is conducted for admission to MBA/PGDM programme at various management institutes across the country.

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management studies is well known in the country for its placement record. Admissions to JBIMS Mumbai are based on scores at the national or state level exams. JBIMS accepts MH CET/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/CMAT/ ATMA exams. The minimum cut-off ranges between 98-99 percentile.

There are a few number of government colleges that accepts MAT score for admission to MBA where Indian Institute of Management Rohtak tops the list, followed by National Institute of Technology Rourkela and National Institute of Technology Warangal. Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi also accepts MAT Score. Jamia Millia Islamia and Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata another top two colleges accepting MAT score.

Im a graduate with non engineering.can i get seat in nit Warangal for mba by taking mat entrance exam??

Sorry ! NIT Warangal offers MBA for only First class Bachelor’s Degree  holders in any branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized university with At least 60% marks in aggregate (I to IV Year) or 6.5 CGPA on 10 point scale and  & A valid CAT /MAT score. For SC / ST 55% marks is required.You may try for other colleges. If any doubts, pls feel free to ask !!
