How is MAT September 2019 Score Calculated?

Each question carries four marks and for each incorrect answer, there is 1/4 or 0.25 negative marking scheme. AIMA states the following on score and percentile computation:

1. Since MAT is conducted in multiple slots, the difficulty level might vary. AIMA provides the total scaled score.

2. Each MAT score card will state the scores secured by candidates in all the six sections of the exam: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Composite Score and Indian & Global Environment.

3. The composite score is computed using the first four sections. Equal weightage is assigned to all these sections. Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning are reported from scales ranging from 0 to 100. Scales below 20 or above 80 are rare.

4. The Composite Score is reported on a scale of 199 to 801, but extreme scores below 200 or above 800 are not common. The uncommon scores, i.e. below 200 are reported as 199 and all above 800 are reported as 801.

5. Indian and Global Environment score is separately reported on a scale of 0 to 100. According to AIMA, scores less than 20 and 80 are quite rare.

does a canditate for mba after giving cat/mat/xat exam have to go for GD and PI to every private institute or do each private institute conduct GD and PI in some states?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 8th Oct, 2019
In short, yes. Each and every college has a different selection process and it is independant of each college. So, if you apply to say 10 colleges, you have to apply for each college Group discussion and personal intervuew process. The shortlisting process abd final merit list is separate for each College.
